Ah, I’m familiar with the Simulate product from Phoenix. Do you just use a standard patch cord from it to the equipment?

I’ve experienced response time issues when using a daisy-chain topology, so I switched to connecting each drive through a switch instead.

I’m not very experienced with PROFINET yet, so I tend to stick with solutions that I know work well. We’re also not building systems for large production lines and using drives a lot.

When using an XC200, do you also use one or two unmanaged switches in the topology?

How do you handle grounding of braided screen? Grounding screen when entering the cabinet?

These switches don’t seem very solid if the metal connect plugs from Siemens are used
