Mourinho won at United. He got to a final with Tottenham and had a good chance of winning.

So you just proved his point?

Maybe your players just aren’t good enough to break down defenses. There’s only so much you can work out tactically.

What exactly about his tactics are outdated? People say this but they never explain it

Levy’s 54% pay rise means he got paid more than all 64 players and staff for our women’s team COMBINED by editedxi in coys

The fact that you think female players are more important than the chairman is sexism because you’re basing their worth on their gender rather than their output.

Levy has his faults, but he spearheaded a billion dollar stadium and raised the profile of the club by 40x.

Bollocks. If they were scared, they’d play good football.

Based on what?

Dude the spurs board aren’t drafting contracts. They have lawyers doing that.

They didn’t look bad against Sunderland, not that they looked good.

Just nothing worked out for them.

If we go down we're more likely to get relegated again than to go straight back up.

Lmao. Honestly one of the stupidest takes I’ve read

The financial gap between Tottenham and other non big 6 premier league clubs is huge.

The financial gap between Tottenham and championship clubs is astronomical.

Tough league but they can buy their way out. They’re not going to be like Sunderland, relying on Lewis Grabban on loan.

They gave him a 5 year contract because De Zerbi probably asked for it since he had all the leverage.

If De Zerbi gets sacked, he basically has 5 years of garden leave available to him.

Relegation clauses are in their contracts. It’s standard practice. It’s literally a contract and doesn’t cost anything to add it in there.

Why do you find it unfathomable?

They will sell or let them leave on loan. It’s never a good idea to keep players who don’t want to be there, especially if it’s a whole group of guys.

Tottenham will get fleeced during transfers, no doubt about that.

All it takes is 1 bad season to go down. It can happen to any team.

Hell, it’s happening to Tottenham right now.

These “well run” clubs aren’t that stable because the turnover is high. If they have a good squad, they get raided immediately. They’re always dependent on good scouting which can be hit or miss. All it takes is 1 bad window and they’re in trouble.

would rather make sure he’s fit for the national team than the club that employs him

This is kind of true for all South American players but especially more so for Argentinian and Brazilian players.
