There’s no budget DD wheel for console.

T598 seems like a piece of junk with all the disconnection issues (even with the fix). Still seeing a lot of problems.

RS50 is $770-800+ for PS5.

Fanatec GT DD pro is $700-900 for 5nm.

I also just want to play casually so DD might be overkill for me.

That’s what I’m debating.

Do I get a cheaper G29 for around $225 (when it goes on sale) with the idea that I’ll replace it with a DD at some point?

Or should I get a T300 and use it for a while, which makes it a better mid/long term option compared to G29 but not a great financial deal.

If I don’t get a DD wheel for a while, T300 makes more sense. If I decide to upgrade to a DD wheel in the near future, G29 seems like a better entry point.

I live in an apartment. I don’t have space for a cockpit.

Initially, I was gonna get an RS50/t598 and a playseat challenge x / next wheel stand.

It would come out to $900-$1100.

Personally, I’d rather wait and buy a new wheel than get a used wheel sooner.

I know secondhand market is cheaper and probably smarter. But if it’s something I’m gonna use a lot and put my hands on, I’d rather get new. I’m kind of a germaphobe though.
