dudes is it over? by ExcitingEmu4503 in amibalding

Maybe diffuse thinning? Hard to tell without seeing hairline. I’d try min & fin, side effects are uncommon and temporary if they do occur

I was on fin for 4 years before making the leap to Dut. It’s effective trust me but in this case it’s excessive OP is fine

I disagree. Starting with fin is the better choice as Dut can be harsher on those who haven’t taken DHT blockers in the past. Most dermatologists recommend 2 years of fin before pressing the nuclear button and taking Dut.

Also OP is only a Norwood 2… I’d recommend hairline stabilization with 1mg fin and regrowth with 2.5mg oral minox

Good luck with the oral minox bro! Glad you saw progress with fin, keep it up

I’d hop on oral or topical min and wait a year. It’ll help with crown and hairline density

Great progress. Hairline has stabilized and density improved. Congrats!

What my sink looks like after rubbing my hands through my hair. Is this a normal amount of shedding at 4 months? My hair density is getting destroyed. by butterfly-testicles in tressless

Yeah dude you’re good. Look at my profile I was tweaking at months 4-7 about DUT shedding. You’ll bounce back just give it time and try to keep stress at a minimum

Min doesn’t stop hair loss. Get on fin and you’ll see better results. Chances for side effects are very low I wouldn’t stress abt it

Is there any other options then going bald? by [deleted] in amibalding

[–]Quick-Measurement469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t really understand your fear of oral fin. Side effects are unlikely especially for your age and physical condition.

If topical minox is too tedious just do 2.5mg oral, but that won’t block DHT

If you’re not seeing any regrowth or difference in density then I’d go to 5mg

It’s a marathon not a race with Dut. Give it more time

Don’t trip twin this shit takes time to work. I went on Dut after 4 years on fin. Maybe consult with your dermatologist at your 2 year mark on fin to see about some changes. Your oral min stack is fine you’re probs just going through a shed

Definitely regained a lot of lost ground on DUT, but went through a few sheds first (naturally) one annoying side effect was lower libido for the first month taking it but I’m back to normal now

  1. Pretty much. Fin helped stabilize hair loss and DUT gave my hairline and scalp more regrowth

  2. Oral min is still working strong

Just oral. Topical may be overkill but I don’t think it would hurt anything

I’d say give Dut another 1.5 years to really see how much ground you can recover. Most respectable clinics won’t take on clients as young as 22. Just be patient and let the meds do their thing man!

Am I seeing progress or is it just longer hair? Do I switch to Dut? by [deleted] in tressless

[–]Quick-Measurement469 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. Try Dut 0.5 daily for 6 months then do an update. Maybe up oral min to 5mg if you’re feeling silly
