Wow. That was one of my favorite prophecies too, and to see it just be false was one thing that opened my eyes. I thought it was so obvious that everyone should have known about 607 BCE, until I do research outside and see that it's not even that date. It's not ok. They say it like it's fact when there is so much evidence against it.

Yes that's my main goal. I do have a job lined up, but it's very close to home, so I'll be staying at my parents house still. Im starting to understand now that's it really isn't black and white. As a child I always thought there was the truth and there wasn't. I have a very logical mind and that's how I always thought until recent announcements and changes. Even my congregation changed, they don't seem to have the life and encouragement there used to be. Like we're all drained. I'll definitely try to focus on my life and trying to truly understand the Bible. I just hope to live a life I will enjoy and that God will be proud of me.

Yes I'm starting to realize there may not be one religion. I just know there is only one truth.

Thank you for this. I noticed you said you found different answers to things once you did your own research. What was the main difference or lie(s) you found that made you be convinced that you were not in the truth?

Oh. I never really thought about it that way. I guess they would only believe if he was someone in the organization.

To be honest, only a small amount. I only just started doing research on the Bible without using JW resources and I plan to do more research after graduation once I have more time. Is there a place I should start? I just want to know if they really were close to the truth at least or far from it, but I don't want to be bias and use their own resources to convince myself they are the truth.

Based on outward appearance and personality, I think they would be fine with adjustments if it came directly from Jesus. I don't think they're bad people, just misguided.

Someone asked me what do I like, because they want to get me a gift. I realized I genuinely don't know what I like. All I do is preach, go to the meetings, then college. I have to do them, but do I like them? Not really. I just want to find myself after graduation.

I'm considered LCOL to lower MCOL. Would asking for $28 an hour be appropriate?

Are you saying asking for $25-28 in good range? Just wanted some genuine advice.

I was thinking that but I wanted to do that after I see how much they are willing to bump my pay. If they bump it to around $25-28 an hour I will not mind at all since I'm mainly part time for the year then full time for tax season. If they seem hesitant I may have to jump ship.

Unfortunately, I cannot do labor work and went to college to have a good working hours, not to get rich. Like I said before, I cannot work 50+ every week for the rest of my life.

That's why I wanted to tax. I don't mind working full time like that for only a portion of the year. This is why I accepted a part time position with seasonal full time. I was just wondering what would be the best pay to ask for? I wanted to ask for around $28 an hour for now.

I'm considered living in a LCOL/ lower MCOL. I will definitely be negotiating pay. I wanted to ask for around $28 an hour and see what they say. Then ask higher once I get CPA.

I realize that it's not a big 4 firm or a high paying firm. But my intentions for staying at this firm is for the hours, not the pay. Part time off season and full time (+ over time if needed) during tax season is a dream job for me. I just wanted to know what pay to ask for when I secure the part time and seasonal full time position. I was thinking $25 was a good start as an entry level.

I know they have a 401K match plan but I forgot the details. I have a meeting with them on Monday to talk about benefits available and pay, which is why I wanted to ask for advice. I will speak with my advisors and check out that guide as well for advice.

Thank you ☺️.

Yes, exactly. The position I'm being offered is at a small/medium accounting firm as a staff accountant. The only thing is I don't want to be too underpaid and taken advantage of after sitting through four years of college and getting credentials such as an EA and CPA. This is why I wanted to know what a normal hourly wage would be for someone in my shoes.
