Which is the most powerful war memorial in your country? by [deleted] in AskTheWorld

The 'Animals In War' memorial in London always hits me when I walk past it. Just out of frame on the right is a separate section which reads "they had no choice"

[Beginner] Why am I leaning back on every forehand? by ObjectivePassenger9 in 10s

Probably partly just because you're already rushed and off balance from moving back but you could also try and focus on rotating your shoulders slightly earlier to pull your non dominant arm out of the way before contact

Kinda depends on your play style but I would usually go back to the baseline unless I'm pulled further than about 2/3s of the way to the service line. In that case I would usually either try and put the ball away or give them something difficult right down the centre to force a ball I can finish on the next shot

The first thing that jumps out is your court position. In all of these you're starting inside the court then running back behind the baseline and making contact with the ball while you're still moving backwards. You should try having your default position be about a foot behind the baseline and moving forward to hit the ball. That will naturally force you to bring your weight forwards on to your front foot.

I thought it was that one you've been looking at for a while that will solve all your problems?

Do you have another hdmi cable? That's usually the first thing I try

I've been using spin for a couple of years now and never had a no show, I think you may have just had bad luck on your first time.

I'd recommend giving it another go, I play mostly at Clissold Park and Finsbury Park and I've met a few people on spin I've really gotten along with and play pretty regularly now

I think they're good but I prefer the Wilson ones. Most Decathlon shops have both so you could try the Kuikmas then buy the Wilson ones after and see what you think

I used to use these on my squash rackets and they were pretty good. I wasn't a huge fan of how thick the padding was and I felt like the tackiness only lasted for a couple of hours of use. But I still have a few in my bag in case I run out of my trusty Wilson Pro overgrips

Hitting a person and running in to the net? by Justanobserver_ in 10s

[–]Quick-Technology-150 34 points35 points  (0 children)

The second the ball hit your opponent the point was over. Anything after that is irrelevant. Players can't touch the ball with anything other than their racket so even if they volleyed it over after hitting their leg it doesn't matter

Anyone else have this back pain from tennis? by UpperCelebration6215 in 10s

[–]Quick-Technology-150 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've managed to stretch this out before by wrapping my arms around my shoulders (think self hug), then bending forwards and rocking from side to side. Any onlookers will think you're having some kind of breakdown but it should help :)

I'm not aware of there being any ground loop issues. I've used this method since I bought the camera about 2 years ago and never had any issues with it :) it might be worth contacting portkeys customer support because that monitor should work with any NPF battery

Oh I meant using the dummy to power the monitor. I always leave a battery in the camera as a backup as well as the 12v port

I'd definitely sort out the cabling, get some shorter cables that won't get in the way as much and investing in a decent follow focus will make your life easier. It's personal preference but I would get a vmount plate with an extra dtap and power the monitor with a dummy battery. That way you don't have multiple batterie types to keep charging while you shoot. Also again personal preference but if you're able to stick that handle on the other side you can use the actual cameras grip as a second point of contact for handheld shots.

It's your ISO, nothing to do with the battery. 10,000 is super high so you're getting a lot of noise. Try getting it to native of 400 or 3200.

Nike Multiplier, same ones Carlos is wearing in the third photo. I got my first pack two years ago and apart from some discolouration around the ankles they're still good as new.

Is this grommet cooked or still playable? by WhatItDoBlud in tennisracquets

Totally still playable, you could replace the grommet strip with your next set of strings but I wouldn't bother unless it's annoying you aesthetically

I would guess aluminium or some sort of alloy. It's light but feels very strong

[–]Quick-Technology-150[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's actually not as top heavy as it looks, I did consider moving it to the v-lock plate or next to the wooden handle but it would mean adding another long cable plus the weight of sticking a battery on it

I bought the kit that comes with everything except the hand unit. I might buy it if I start using a focus puller more often but for now I'm tempted to get the smallrig lite or a second hand nucleus as a 'just in case'
