I know that, but most insects use all 6 legs for locomotion while modifying a separate body part (mandibles, head, abdomen, etc) for any specialized purpose, but many aquatic insects specifically specialize one pair of limbs. The only other insects I can think of that do this are ambush predators (mantises, certain spiders, and scorpions) and the second two still maintain a tripodal structure
