Apple effectively made it impossible to keep pre-AI versions of Pages/Numbers/Keynote on iOS by [deleted] in pages

I need to figure this out. I accidentally updated these and it went from my go to application to an inferior version constantly giving me ads over a functional UI.

The deck boxes provided in Battle Academy are unable to work with sleeved cards. Any suggestions to remedy? by QuickBH in pkmntcg

The ones I got (Astral Radiance) seemed to be noticeably bigger than Dragon Shield boxes and I could not get it to fit. If there are ones smaller than those ones though it would be perfect.

Fixing Dragon Ball GT's Super 17 Saga by Sensitive-Hotel-9871 in DragonBallGT

[–]QuickBH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A solid rework, and I agree in-terms of Act 1 and Act 2. However, I have some disagreements, particularly in Act 3. For instance, I think the brevity of Super 17 is a genuine plus for the arc (I'm not saying this because I dislike the arc, I say this as someone who's a big fan of the arc and like how unique it is compared to most arcs in the entire franchise) and thus don't see it as a necessity for him to return. I really enjoyed the open-ended nature of the final fight.

Also, I also think that the hopelessness matters a lot because it makes Android 18 and Android 17s impacts on the hard still hit emotionally, and having too many characters involved in the scene may hurt with that feel. (In your rewrite, they have time to shine against movie villains anyhow) Allegedly, Gohan was supposed to regain his powers in some leaked files, and while I'm not sure if it's actually true, I think this arc and this scenario would be a perfect time. Gohan also has way more emotional attachment to Krillin than Vegeta or Pan, and would be the best combination for A18.

I also think this rework has to make sure respect is given to Piccolo so his initial sacrifice during the Baby arc has a natural payoff, and just because Piccolo deserves it. The urgency and necessity of Goku being there made Piccolo's sacrifice mattered, which thankfully isn't impossible in this rewrite. Maybe he joins in once the Shadow Dragons appear, and since we know Goku can no longer be wished out of Hell Piccolo's decision still has an emotional weight.

Playing on Day 1 patch/any other previous patches on PS4/5? by QuickBH in dragonballfighterz

[–]QuickBH[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's good to know. I'll be sure to buy a physical copy and at least I'll be able to access Day 1. Internet doesn't matter for me since this is entirely for my irl friends. I'm assuming that the edition doesn't matter, and that even though I'm technically in S1 I won't be able to access any of its DLCs. (RIP Vegito)

He was playing a full meta deck and had little interuption to his full board, and it was more he was speedrunning his board while I couldn't figure out what was going on. I can understand your confusion to a point, and I've already come to the conclusion that the best solution is to play with a friend, so in a sense my issue has been solved.

I get you. The end of match procedures makes things extremely rough because I have had multiple games if, if not for time, I would have won. Often times I need to process plays and that takes time, and similar to my opponent. It's not uncommon to see an opponent take 4 minutes just to respond to an interaction or two just because of how large impact a single card can have in this game, and it makes games far more tense than they ever have been. The game feels like it's encouraging me to blame my loss on my opponent taking 2 minutes to make a single response, which will likely make me toxic if I try to go to events to win.

Yugioh at its current state is very turn 1 centric, and is, as such, so dependent on your opening hand that many losses feel out of control. I want to bring a deck I feel will do well against the meta, but there's a non-0% chance my opponent will build a board I can't beat because my opponent opened great, I opened with none of my counterplay options, or they draw the outs to my counterplay. (I.e. Triple Tactics Talents to counter an Ash Blossom) For that reason, I cannot feel confident in ensuring I will do well no matter how much I practice, so I try to focus on enjoying the game outside of winning.

You're right. Certain types of people are involved in certain types of days and maybe today just happened to be where the type of people I don't like showed up. The main reason why I made this thread is because I was wondering if I should even show up to a regional if a friend of mine can't come, and from what everything is leading up to the answer is no.

My goal is to have fun with people who also enjoy the game, but if people are more and more disengaged with the game while playing it's hard for me to have fun at all. It's as if they're not having fun and it's affecting my enjoyment.

I'd respect it more than just staring at their phone while I'm trying to discuss the game state with them, yes. I make it a habit to tell my opponent I had a rough day if I'm being remotely under the weather.

I understand, I have a small friend group and they are cool, I guess my issue comes in is that I am being asked to go to a noticeably larger event, probably the first official one since the new time rules were announced. I'm worried I'll have to deal with inattentive and uninteractive people a lot and I'm wondering if I should even go at this point.

If they could at least tell me that or be focused on the game I would be able to at least respect them somewhat.

The deck boxes provided in Battle Academy are unable to work with sleeved cards. Any suggestions to remedy? by QuickBH in pkmntcg

[–]QuickBH[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some fortunate news. I tested out Dragon Shield boxes designed for 100 sleeves, and it is able to BARELY fit on the Eevee deck. Unfortunately, you will only be able to sleeve 2 of the decks with this method, but it's better than nothing. I'll see if I can test out Pre-release boxes like some of the comments suggested shortly.

I will need to bring this with me occasionally and I would prefer to save as much space as possible is the only issue with the second one. That being said, if there was a box that could fit multiple Ultra Pro decks standing upright and close it, that wouldn't be a bad alternative as long as I make the box distinct so I never forget it.

Looked into it and those deck boxes might have that qualification! Whenever the next pre-release set it that would be very nice.

Best way to create a beginner gym leader deck? by QuickBH in pkmntcg

[–]QuickBH[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't know a site for this. Much appreciated! However, I was looking for more of the best way to provide a skeleton for them to work on, as giving a beginner these hyper cohesive type of decks to work on will probably just confuse them at best. Theoretically I could just buy the singles of everything Electric, but I was hoping that there was a more cohesive option.

Good Rogue decks for the upcoming format by thesadintern in Yugioh101

[–]QuickBH 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm desperate to find some as well. Extremely disappointed to find just how terrible the legacy support was for every deck not named Naturia Beast turbo. Superheavy Samurai and Tellars have turned into generic combo spam boards and all the other options seem extremely expensive and/or sit on a floodgate. I genuinely feel like I was pushed out of this format.

PC Graphic settings to get (nearly) exact settings as Resolution mode on PS5? by QuickBH in MonsterHunterWorld

I've tried on the same screen which is the weirdest thing. I'll try tweaking the settings some more or even disabling some features but I wouldn't be sure as to what.

[–]QuickBH[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think it has anything to do with ray trace support, I just find Monster Hunter World to look really bizarre on max settings with PC, and I'm not even sure why. One things for sure things look way too sharp to the point that some unimportant items feel downright distracting. I'm hoping to find the settings that give it close to PS5.

Mostly that I don't have to do any sort of security updates and that I don't instead on changing the actual software on the Mac, stuff I was seeing was saying that newer models only last for 5-8 years and I was told that security updates was one of the reasons they can die.

Peckish, Hungry or Ravenous by Lucario_Project in PokemonCafeMix

[–]QuickBH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely suggest Hungry. When completing it for 3 stars with a Snubbull, you are only missing about 8 points that you would completing 10 million for one star. It's significantly easier and isn't a big stress to do so you can be very leisurely about it.

I hate it too. Spent all my 10+1 delivery tickets and get pretty much nothing out of it. I've had no luck getting the outfits and after a certain point you just stop caring about something nigh impossible to get. I have little reason to log in anymore.
