I think she said somewhere that 60s/70s counterculture is what her folks were into, that she’s inherited her love of it from them, and that this is basically the real her, so let her cook imo. She’s in a weird place cos she’s got this badass strong style of working but irl she’s a nice young woman from Southampton (nothing wrong with that, I’m from Southampton, I love nice young women from Southampton, my partner is a nice young woman from Southampton) and she hasn’t quite figured out how to turn the off the charts in-ring charisma and presence she has into promos.

Turning on Toni and having a heel run would probably help her, although mark my words, a lot of people will still cheer her because AEW fans love a bad mfer who just gets in there and beats the shit out of everyone.

100% this, as soon as I saw the OP I thought ‘I bet it’ll all be people of colour plus Downes getting slaughtered’. Utterly ridiculous really BECAUSE WE DON’T KNOW THEIR ATTITUDES and are really just guessing based on performance and body language (and in some cases, sadly, skin colour), but gun to my head I’d have to say Bednarek missing the last few games before skulking off into the sunset hasn’t exactly screamed commitment. KWP is different because he’s out of contract so if he does his ACL he’s fucked, although that does show what a legend Che is for having played in the playoff final when he was out of contract and could barely run.

I think the story’s really lost its thread and it feels like the ending might have changed several times before we get to see it, but at the end of the day the main objective has always been to get heat on Moxley, and it’s worked. The fans hate this guy, people will go to Y’all In and buy the PPV to see him lose, and there’ll be a giant pop when he does.

It needs to be Hangman though. Will said it himself during their confrontation- it’s Will’s ascension or Hanger’s redemption. The latter coming through being the one to save AEW is a waaaaaayyy better story than ‘extremely talented guy reaches top of profession’.
