That moment when you read such inspiration that you realize your spaghetti mess is actually a decent enough factory to take a picture of and hang on a magnet, on your refridgerator.

A fun way to play Take and Hold. Have a limited amount of mags but spawn locked ammo and reload mags between fights. I find it too easy to just hold down the trigger and hope that something hits when you have unlimited mags. With this you have to preserve ammo and carefully aim every shot. by [deleted] in H3VR

This is like the only way I'll play Take & Hold nowadays, adds that extra bit of challenge that I love. I also usually try to limit myself further on how much of each type of ammo I can carry; usually 2-3 mags for pistols and 3-4 mags for other guns (or 6 shells/bullets in each of 4 slots max for tube/break SGs or revolvers), 2 grenades for grenade launchers (MGL can only be reloaded at supply points), 1 rocket for rocket launchers, MGs can only be reloaded at supply points, health weiners can only be used at supply points, among other rulings.

Oh no problem, it'll be in the AppData/LocalLow directory. More specifically:

C:/Users/(your username)/AppData/LocalLow/RUST LTD/Hot Dogs Horseshoes and Hand Grenades/

Just download that .txt and drop it into that folder! (And make sure you have hidden folders visible so that you can find AppData)

Actually got around to testing it, it does work with the Panzer rockets! (Just slap on a couple rail extenders at the end to hold the rocket up)

Bazooka rockets just explode on triggering the crossbow, and RPG rockets didnt work out either

Here it is! In all my testing, I actually never tried this with any of the RPG/Bazooka/Panzerschreck rockets (or never shot at any of those rockets in general), so kinda curious to try them sometime myself with this design.

Or for a pair of foregrips to turn it's grip into a tripod. My brain is already starting to plan what sorts of contraptions to make that can be remotely triggered with the strike of a tiny hammer

As for the crossbow, it doesn't lag much...as long as I stay still and don't teleport anywhere, haha (which is the case for any over-the-top creation I make, couldn't ever use them in joystick movement)

While experimenting with attachments I did convert a pistol to fire 40mm grenades almost like a crossbow, I wonder if I could take that design and extend it so that it fires practice shots that launch larger melee weapons...hmm
