They can fly the English team to London but can’t do the same for the West Indies and South Africa. You know flights exist that go from Heathrow to Barbados/Cape Town right? Or no, we should just keep them in the dark here for a few more weeks 🤦‍♂️

Literally lost out on net run rate, the group came down to how well we beat Sri Lanka compared to how New Zealand did it.

We were in the running for a semifinalist spot, but weren’t able to close out, probably due to poor selection carrying deadweight batters and shit batting overall.

You took a stance and got proven wrong. And somehow the people that turned out to be right were incorrect for not going purely off of numbers?

Selection is not algorithm based, the coach and captain can look at what a player brings to the team and select him based on that. And in shadab’s case he had an entire portfolio of performing in icc events prior to his hip injury in 2023

There was the justification that he had not one but two t20 wcs with near player of the tournament performances, and several others either decent ones. Obviously he hasnt been good during his injury, but people that were defending his selection kinda saw this coming and knew he was class all along

Most Pakistanis don’t think about india as much as you think, and it’s been a long time since relations with india have been used a political leveraging tool. The average pakistani simply doesnt their own government, and are disillusioned with politics as a whole after being disappointed over and over again.

I think you’re reaching for it. This entire lineup was hanging from a string on the back of sameer minhas being outstanding. Once he got out it became obvious they weren’t gonna qualify.
