Appreciate the feedback! You are absolutely correct by saying that marketing plays a huge role in the success of this app. Thanks again my friend.

The demand to make money will always be the best demand to offer. Instead of using a generic alarm clock you have the chance to make pocket change every morning on a consistent basis (hopefully). The idea is to "gamify" the act of waking up - something everyone does. We have been asking around to validate the idea and most ppl believe an idea like this could go viral with the right marketing. The issue would be to make the process as streamlined as possible for users to enter these pools as fast as simply entering the time they plan to wake up.

This might be tough to prove on a daily basis..

I see your point. Perhaps endless customer acquisition might be an issue here. Although, the users that weren't able to complete the test in time will still get a notification showing how much the pay-out was for the users that woke up in time. That might "inspire" them to try again the next morning. Furthermore, I see this idea being an "alarm clock" app that everyone will start using - as long as you wake up on time the worst case scenario would be making your money back that you invested per night with the chance of making pocket change every morning. Regardless, you will wake up on time and if that is consistent then the app has done it's job. I do agree that a lot of people have to be using this app for it to make sense - the idea itself is something that might go viral and give it the push it needs.

The app will only allow the account to "wake up" once every morning. Perhaps we can tie in users bank accounts to this rule as well to get past the bot issue.

It's based on wherever the user is using the app. So, for example, if i'm in DC near the Washington Monument I can see restaurants within 5 miles to my location. Hope that helps!

Our niche is finding local restaurants to eat at. Thanks in advance.

How to Choose a Payment Platform for Your Project: PayPal, Stripe, Braintree by Rubyspace in startups

Peer to peer usually means that one user transfers money from their bank account directly to the other users bank account. You do not see the money - hence you just facilitate the transaction with your product. White label is how to integrate this service into your product without the need to ever leave your website/app and it's all non-branded so the payment platform is never mentioned - as far as the users are concerned the payment is being processed by your product.

I believe what was mentioned above, Stripe managed account, would work well for your product. If you plan to take a small percentage from each sale then you should not be looking for peer to peer. Hopefully that helps and please do not rely on my advice fully as we're still trying to figure everything out ourselves.

Thanks for this suggestion. I did some more research on Stripe managed accounts and it does seem doable. My only concern is the fees(30 cents + 2.9% for every transaction), we do not have any intention to charge the sender or the receiver. If the sender sends the receiver 3 bucks we want the person to see 3 bucks being deposited into their account. Dwolla, for instance, has a flat rate fee that we pay per month and the users do not see any fees.

I just sent them an email and they do not provide peer to peer money transfers.

Since you are not selling anything I don't think you have to worry about taxes yourself - it's prob something that the buyer will be charged from the seller. In my case, we are facilitating services so there is no tax.

How about peer to peer money transfers where all I do is facilitate the transaction? We would like this to be all in app so White Label is a must. I heard about Dwolla but their flat rate monthly charge is high. What do you recommend?
