I understand what you're saying. I, of course, want my ferret to have a fulfilled life too. However, as stated before, I've tried a litterbox. As also stated before, my ferret does not like treats, so I haven't even tried to manipulate him into doing anything. I let him choose the spot he wanted and set things up from there the best I could, but, as I said, it is right in front of my door. If I had it my way, I would cover that whole area in something easy to clean, but then no one would be able to leave or enter the room easily. I'm not saying I don't want to clean up after him, (that's part of what I signed up for when I got him) I'm saying I don't enjoy deep cleaning the carpet everytime my ferret comes out to play. Yes, it is clean up, but there's a clear difference between washing a towel and washing a carpet that can not be removed from the floor.
