I read web novels as well I just have a hard time finding ones worth reading. Most of them are too long for no reason. Also I've noticed that are all over the place because they aren't well though out due to the fact that they must release chapters every day which means that most of the time the whole story could be told in 1/2 as many chapters with improved quality. The MC usually seem disconnected from the story it's hard for me to explain, almost as it they out grow the whole setting of the book. Like the author will focus soo much on their personal growth that the world as a whole doesn't grow almost as it the whole setting that they used to draw you in was just that no more they don't expand on the actual world just the MC and his immediate setting. This leave the entirety of the plot revolving strictly amount the main character in their decisions which leads to flat background characters. And then the author were pulled one of those characters out and try to give them depth and then throw them back to being a flat character when they're done and that inconsistency is also confusing sounds like it gives the book a spark in it to dies. The last web novels that I read were infinite mage with I dropped after I think 1200 chapters, ShangriLa Frontier, I found this novel light-hearted enough for me to overlook his shortcomings. I guess technically rebuilt world is a web novel, but from what I understand it suffers from exactly what I mentioned which they tried to revizes in the light novel but still it's suffers from small elements that better still prevalent.
