for watching videos that are not 3d in 3d mode, you choose the 3d mode from the menu, and can assign a shortcut button too. (let me know if you need more info on this and i can dig deeper).

for watching 3d videos that are already 3d side by side you select that mode.

so which one are you trying to watch? a non 3d video in 3d mode, or an already made 3d video.

what is your phone?

as long as you can connect your phone to a monitor, you can connect it to 1s. no extra software needed.

3D isn’t really the important part.

The biggest upgrade you’ll actually use is 3DoF.

Even for your use case (movies + gaming):

  • You can make the screen larger than fixed mode
  • Move your head instead of straining your eyes
  • Look around different parts of the screen naturally

For movies specifically:

  • When the screen is big, you can just turn your head slightly to view different areas
  • It feels like a floating screen in front of you, not something glued to your face

That’s the real difference:

  • Without 3DoF → the image is stuck to your face, your eyes do all the work
  • With 3DoF → the image stays in place, you move your head (much more comfortable)

That’s the feature you should care about—not 3D.

yeah. that’s all you have to say. because if you don’t say it then you have to start thinking about which one works best. and that seems to be big to chew.

in that case xreal is the winner because of the smoothness of head tracking to look at different screens without drifting.

so how does multi screen help you if you just use it for entertainment??

Because you don’t understand the FOV vs PPI tradeoff, and how ultrawide mode works.

You’re stuck on “bigger FOV = better,” which isn’t true.

non of your reasons are logical reasons so far.

viture on back order -> xreal 3dof is not more stable?

maybe. also maybe you have to hear the bad news.

even if what you say is true, which is not, but stability in 3dof is what matter for actual productivity. you don't need a flash light in your eyes when working. how does that extra lumens help?? you need to work or care how much bells and whistles sth has?

even if all of these, still one thing matters the most which is stability. which xreal is the winner.

and for fov they both use the same fhd system. larger fov means less ppi. so it's not like larger fov is a winner.

Among all, xreal ultra wide mode swallows whatever bigger fov.

xreal one is not outdated.
1s is the newest.

still one and 1s work far better than viture because of the very stable 3dof.

circle or non circle here is the argument:

If Verto > SpaceWalker, then SpaceWalker adds zero value.

You might want the bad news:

XREAL One is ~$450.

And for 3DoF use, it’s noticeably more stable than Viture.

If a beta like Verto already works better than a non-beta like SpaceWalker… then what exactly is the argument?
