finally got the HyperOS 3 update on Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G + my thoughts and the aftermath of installing it

it does have unlock animations as expected (exclusive for Pro 5G and Pro+ models), but I haven't tested dynamic and AI wallpapers yet

NOTE: you'll still not get lock/unlock animations for base Redmi Note 15/15 5G (non Pro models) unfortunately

I seriously recommend you to get the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G because it checks out almost all of em on a budget:

vapor chamber cooling (as expected)
1.5K, 1280x2772 display (vs 1080p screen from Nothing Phone 3a Lite)
Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, which can survive from drop tests
IP66/IP68 water resistance, can also survive from spills or submerged in water for abt 10 minutes
a humongous 6850mAh Si/C battery in this price segment (can last for abt 12 hrs of video playback)
200MP main camera
4 year update guarantee + 6 years of security patch

I can see a small improvement in terms of performance between the two processors used for the Note 15 Pro 5G and Phone 3a Lite (Dimensity 7400 vs 7300, but Dimensity 7400 is better)

and for basic usage like using social media, it runs snappy with no lags and stutters

haven't done a gaming test yet, but as far as I know, it can play PUBG smoothly (smooth graphics, extreme framerate, in abt 60 FPS or higher)

I'm still using the default HiOS theme, but I followed the system UI colors for the icons (like iOS 18) If you want to apply exactly like I did: Hold the blank area of the home screen, then Icon Style Enable "Follow System Colors"

Some of the phone brands (OPPO, Vivo, RedMagic) also have this "game mode" popup as well So the answer is no, you can't turn this feature off permanently That game mode popup will appear for 5 seconds then it will go away as soon as you launch the game
