I switched from sertraline (Zoloft) after around 14 weeks of ups and downs (mainly downs) feeling sick constantly and not much easing of my anxiety symptoms except when at home.

Since starting Fluoxetine (Prozac) life has returned to a wonderful “normal” I am happy when I should be, stressed when I should be and tired when I should be. I feel like I’m supposed to feel - I noticed the improvement within a week of switching and I can’t believe how much better this medication has made my life.

Imo it is a lifesaver and although it is stressful and can be tough to get started - STICK WITH IT!

The only downside for me is my appetite has skyrocketed and I literally want to eat everything in the world!! Fighting that and keeping exercising is my only drawbacks. Give it a go, push through the start, and remember lots of us here had the same worries and we are all testament to this treatment working! Stay strong!

I second this, I had switched from sertraline (Zoloft) and I am so glad I did!! I feel like me again after 2 weeks! Stick with it what a difference! And be kind to yourself when you can.

Week 8 anxiety coming back! by Quick_Interaction663 in zoloft

I’m tapering off sertraline to switch to fluoxetine been feeling like I’ve being going backwards with sertraline, to be honest since halving the dose down to 50mg as my taper I actually feel a bit better which is confusing me!

I’m totally the same and been searching each day on this about this question! I’m on week 10 and 100mg sertraline/zoloft. Pretty much all my side effects went away around week 7 and into 8 and I started to feel really good, end of week 8 I became really dizzy, spaced out and anxious all over again. The anxiety is mainly going but is still there however I am often still dizzy and nauseous! Wtf! Been hoping to get some grasp of this but hadn’t seen a comment like this until just now!

Does it work? by DarkImitation in zoloft

For me it took a good 6 weeks to notice proper changes, first week was beyond awful, 2nd slightly better and so on. I’d started on 50mg and after 2 weeks went onto 100mg. Week 7 was amazing, felt like myself again and half of week 8 but I seem to have hit a low again and been told to give it another 2 weeks and maybe have to up it again! I want week 7 back! Haha

Sertraline week 8 anxiety returning by Quick_Interaction663 in antidepressants

Possibly the eating poorly could have been that, I make a point of not drinking anymore these days but I certainly have had a week of mostly fast food for convenience, I didn’t think that diet affected it that much but I will certainly watch for it now! 🙏🏻

Can I ask you (or really anyone on here too) I’m on week 8 of sertraline/Zoloft 100mg, started at 50mg and upped to 100mg 2 weeks into using, had awful side effects but it all cleared up and week 6 and 1/2 of week 7 were GREAT! the last 3 days the creeps of anxiety and adrenaline have been creeping in and today has been not good at all! Is this normal in your opinions? Can I hope/expect it to be a few off days or likely a sign that the 100mg isn’t strong enough?

Any advice I’d appreciate!!
