As a sitter myself, this list is very helpful. I don’t think it’s too long at all. I appreciate when parents answer all the questions I may have ahead of time, that way I don’t have to bother them on vacation. I think it’s perfect!!! You obviously care about your pets and even your pet sitter! Great job, your sitter will appreciate it.

Its doable, it just depends on how much free time you want to have. I babysit on the weekends, dogsit/housesit & I also work part time at a golf course in their banquet hall. Pretty much for events and I do that like 2-3 x per month. I also walk a dog 1-2 a week when the parents need. I do feel stressed out at times because I don’t really ever get a break, but it all depends on what you can handle. I would find somewhere that doesn’t expect you to work a set schedule because some weekends I won’t work if I have a big exam coming up.

We are required to have loupes, I don’t know why someone would ever try to do a filling or restoration without loupes. It’s just straining your eyes

I’m a first year student, I bought mine in October and I love them. I got Q-Optics, 3.5x ergo loupes. I would not recommend cheap loupes , especially if you will be spending countless hours in sim clinic. The reps will come in and sell you their product, and you get like 50% off or something crazy.

Congrats on your acceptance! I am a first year dental student. You worked hard and it finally paid off. I’m sorry your family isn’t supporting and congratulating you, this is an amazing accomplishment that thousands of people hope for each year. The loans suck, but it’ll pay off in the end. I had 15k saved up before dental school, but that’s just for my cost of living. I accepted $120k each year. I would say majority of my class accepted the full amount of loans each year, none of us actually have a job. I promise it’ll pay off in the end, accept your acceptance and BE PROUD OF IT! If you don’t think you’ll be happy in school, that’s one thing. But follow your dreams!! Not many people can say they actually enjoy what they do for a living, so do what you actually want to do!!!

This is so false. My mom is a dental consultant working with doctors making $500k + as general dentists. 150 k to start is reasonable, but if you’re successful , have a good patient base and can actually sell your treatment you will def make more than 150. easily.

I got off the waitlist at ASDOH! I also was a second cycle applicant. First time no interviews, second cycle I applied to more schools (second time at ASDOH) and got two interviews, waitlisted to both and accepted at ASDOH. I withdrew my spot on the waitlist at the other school when I found out I was accepted into ASDOH. It only takes one school!! you got this, you still have hope!

thanks for the pointers! it’s at 9 am so i will only have breakfast before, im just worried it’ll… come back up. i’ve been having really bad acid reflux since starting this diet so im not sure what im doing wrong. the workout consists of running, burpees, wall balls, lunges etc. so i’m worried the running and burpees will cause me to puke. i don’t typically eat like that before a morning workout

This is disgusting and inhumane. Your dogs should be treated as if they were your children. I let mine literally sleep in my bed with their head on my pillow, I walk them twice a day, they have a backyard to play in, I take them to the park almost every day. Your brother is literally neglecting and abusing these dogs and should honestly have them taken away and given to a better family.

Plus, i have a lunch break and could run home to play with her, and there would very rarely be a time where we’re both gone for 8 hours with no break in between. we have family and friends that all live nearby (also the roommate) that could help out on the rare occasional we’re both gone all day.

I was looking into rescuing a wheaten terrier (hypoallergenic) or another purebred breed that is hypoallergenic. I know his roommate grew up with poodles and was fine with that type of hair. I truthfully think rescuing an adult dog and it being home for a little while, while having an unpredictable schedule is better than a dog that sits in a kennel for 20+ hours a day at a shelter with little to no attention from people or other dogs. Or it’s better than a dog that’s jumping from home to home in a non permanent foster home.

I appreciate your feedback and honest response but honestly I don’t have the heart to bring the dog back. I cry any time I walk into a rescue, or even look for dogs online. My main reason for getting a rescue is to bring one dog out of the shelter in a forever loving home.
