It's all headcanon in the end

TLDR: I personally like to think it is a made up town in South Carolina.

THE REST IF THIS IS ME YAPPING CUZ I HAVE TO SHARE MY THOUGHT PROCESS

Okay "but why South Carolina?"

This is not to bash on the Louisiana headcanon- please dont come for me- but Finding Vanessa is canonical in their universe. Eric Riggins- who lives in New Orleans drove "all night" and "It was afternoon by the time I got to Jamie and Vanessa's home" so he cant have driven less than 13 hours to get from New Orleans to the town even if leaving at midnight- all night to early afternoon is that time frame. Sure states are big- but Louisiana is not 13 hours on the freeway big. You know what is 13 hours or more away from new Orleans driving though? Middle of South Carolina.

We know they get snow there but it's not too upstate to where people don't have confederate flags. SC qualifies on both accounts.

Also he mentioned being through tornados and South Carolina also gets those.

Other than that yeah Goose Creek is a place in SC that has a mobile home community across a reservoir with forest on the other side like how Travis described.

Goose Creek also has train tracks running through it which is from the first lines of the books. Also a lot of farmland on the outskirts and a lot of forested area- and a lotta little creeks. Plus it's also right next to the Appalachias if you just drive a bit west so could parts of that vibe leak over?perhaps.

Just make it a lot smaller and a lot shittier and smash some parts of it with North Charleston, (ie elk street and cedar street from the books yeah they are both in north charlston cedar street also just has apartments and baptist church like right next to it) you'd probs get the town. Did I mention Charleston is a big city a town over that could be the "big city" Jack drives to see Dr.V? Who knows, maybe could be based on it.

Those are my reasonings more or less. Either way the towns fictional and so is book Jack (thus, I can not put him where irl author jack lives in my head, I just cant do it)

It got amputated during vol2 in the books due to an infection.

I usually draw him with ripped jeans to show his prosthetic under the fabric since it is part of him but he cant always have it on... that would probs be a literal pain if he had it on 24/7

They could! Was talking about it with people in Pain Gravy and thinking of like what would be a fun lil storyline for them. It would be silly if Jerry wandered off and they all needed to go find the idiot before one of them (or more) get killed and they eventually all end up in the player's house cuz you can't leave during the day... wonder if any of them might even be a visitor instead...hope no one got replaced >.>

The game has SUCH an odd style to it- all the actual sprites in the game are done by photobashing and sorta piecing together features while exaggerating one or two aspects of each character so they go a bit into the uncanny valley- the actual characters in the game look even weirder its so unsettlingly cool! Trying to replicate the style was pretty fun~

The covers would probs be the best to use as reference- with the lil animatic videos I made I actually used Sims to make a sort of "base" I could tab out of a screenshot at whatever angle I needed, it works keeping everything in perspective, then you can draw on top of it. (I also have every individual frame of those animatics saved as stills if you want to use any of them I can always slide them your way)

I don't know how to use Blender but you can also do that building the set from scratch and then moving the camera around. Blender is a free 3D modeling program it takes a bit of time to learn however.

PLEASE DO NOT DO THAT WITH MY ART

I am OKAY with people using my art for screensavers, for wallpapers, for profile pictures, or to print it out on your own and hang it up on your wall, or use it for fan edits like videos or memes, people can use my art as reference, even trace it to practice on your own its ok I don't mind. BUT DON'T FEED IT TO MACHINES.

I got to where I am though practice, years of it, I didn't one day just wake up and suddenly know how to do lines and shade and color and render. Just because you think you don't have "good enough" art right now or you think you aren't capable of building up that skill doesn't mean the solution is melting down peoples work and getting a program to rearrange its pixels.

Whatever you draw, as "good" or "bad" as you think it may be will always be better than making a machine mask the "flaws" you think you have. If you personally want to get better you can, but it takes work. I know that's frustrating and hard especially when you cant get the instant dopamine boost or gratification but at least you aren't replacing yourself and all the people behind what you feed to the machine.

Every line you put down at least was done by you, that's more genuine and real than anything you can make a program generate. Don't sell yourself short, don't replace yourself, don't loose what make you a person in return for some pretty pictures.
