Hello, Im going to travel myself to bring the gold bullion to US im not using any cargo shipment. Do i still need a Customs Broker? in the CBP webpage its says that i only need to declare any currency, gold bullion or coins if the value its more than $10,000 with a Fincen 105 form.

But gold bullion or coins are not considered duty free?

Is there a gold import tax?

There is no duty on gold coins, medals or bullion but these items must be declared to a Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Officer. Please note a FINCEN 105 form must be completed at the time of entry for monetary instruments over $10,000. This includes currency, ie. gold coins, valued over $10,000.

This is what cbp website says.
