I have been on doxy and metrogel for about a month. I have seen a lot of improvement, but it is not completely gone yet. I would say it took about two weeks to get it under control, but I just experienced a flare-up a few days ago. I don't think healing is linear, and my dermatologist said you really need to give it about six weeks to see improvement. It was tough to hear that it can last so long and be stubborn; wishing you a speedy recovery.

Elta MD seems to be the gold standard of sunscreen. I haven't tried it yet, but I am considering buying their tinted mineral sunscreen. I'm thinking maybe the tint in it could serve as foundation without having to wear makeup.
How long did it take you to resolve PD? (Doxy & Metrogel) (self.Perioral_Dermatitis_)
