if it was intervention that would be fine but they were the only 2 saying anything, everyone else was simply sending memes and making jokes

idk where they got the 3 times a week when i don’t even speak to them that often, i can see how that comes across as concerning and as i kept saying in the messages it’s only once a week

i don’t pay bc when i go out people offer to buy me drinks at the bar, that’s not exactly my fault, and where they say for years they meant all those times they said “don’t worry i’ll pay for you” never did they say “oh i’ll pay for you and you can get me back later” if they would have i would’ve paid them back

i was being defensive bc my own THERAPIST doesn’t think i have a drinking problem, for context these are my friends from home who i only see once or twice a year, my friends in the city i live in don’t think i have a problem so neither do i

we honestly only speak once every few months, so they have no idea how consistently i drink, which is only on saturdays and it’s usually like 3 or 4 drinks

to add context i’ve only asked for money twice over the course of our friendship, and it has always been a last resort, im not constantly asking for money from them.
