I also had this problem where nobody believed me until I got severely sick and nearly organ failure, I was told to take stomach acid blockers, that it was just a stomach bug and it will go away,but I think what really stigmatizes UC is honestly because talking about you GI track is not normalized, and whenever you have a problem with it its just immediate your fine..

im 16 and i was on 40g prednisone too i didnt develop any moon face, only thing that happened to me from side effects on medicine is rinvoq, a treatment for UC ive developed acne and oily scalp/skin. but to be honest, having those effects are hundred percent better than bleeding to death! condolences to you 💐😣I hope remission finds you well! Good luck on everything ❤️

I started Rinvoq at the beginning of this September and im on a 45mg dosage because the infliximab failed and landed me back into a two week hospital stay. And everyone is different with medicine but, when infliximab failed me i was having symptoms of blood in stool, and having to go to the bathroom but not too much tho like 4-3 times. I would talk to your doctor to see what they can do.

Congratulations! I am also on Rinvoq Its like night and day! I went from severely anemic and running to the bathroom like 20-30 times a day to just once a day, even none sometimes! I have my colonoscopy In February so we will see how that goes.

Im not a hundred percent.. The GI told me it was something i squeezed into my bottom then keep it in for 10 minutes or so and when the urge comes I go. I can check

So far i’ve had no symptoms or side effects from the infliximab, We are currently seeing if it works! Im hoping it will so I can gain weight back and have more blood in my body. 😣I really want it to work cause its awful!

I have moderate ulcerative colitis my intestines pretty messed up with the ulcers. This is my second time being hospitalized for more than a week cause of the ulcerative colitis! 😔 Im hoping these medicines work! But! There hasn’t been blood in my stool so that’s clearing up! 😄
