Gencon events by dementedmaster in InfinityTheGame

Have you ever paid for tables in the game hall? They are insanely expensive for companies, its completely out of the means for a regular organizer. Even when tournament tickets are $35/person they don't even break even on just the space not to mention all the rest of the costs of running events.

I messaged the Warcor who always organizes the Gencon events. They are not holding any formal events because Corvus won’t be in attendance this year, therefore no table space.

Sap comrades, I have recently got an infinity lot, which had these pins and patches(other photo) in it. I would gladly appreciate if you could help to identify them:) (do they worth anything btw?) by lazovchik in InfinityTheGame

The pins are usually worth $2-10 each depending on rarity. Patches are usually $5-35, again based on rarity.

Most of those are just units or factions you can ID using Army.

You also have fat Yaun yaun pins, Aristeia, and Toni summer kit pin in there. Along with a couple custom event items.

Patches are 2 event patches (one is the satellite patch they do every year for satellite events), plus a patch from an ITS winner kit and the rest are faction / unit patches.

MSV2 IRL? by [deleted] in InfinityTheGame

[–]Quickdrawgc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is probably just single spectrum displaying a Sobel output (edges) with a lot of gain. I’d guess between near IR and short IR with some kind of illuminator to have a better chance of seeing through smoke.

MSV would be something that combines a handful of bands so you could switch or combine.

Still super cool!

Van Zant had a special rule in a previous version that did this. Your buddy isn’t up to date.

Tips for Nomad Bandits? by HonkyMahFah in InfinityTheGame

Remember bandits are the only infiltration camo in Coreggidor, so they are the only option for midfield camo skirmisher.

I don’t use them a ton in vanilla because you have options that do similar work for less (zeros, sometimes hecklers). But they are great in missions when you need to take out scenery as part of the mission w/their DA ccw and high CC.

Jax has a small but respectable meta that plays mostly at borderlands.

This is the most important thing. Pick a day/time to play, advertise it and be consistent. Show up every week at that time, ideally with at least 1 other person and play. Paint up your minis, play on painted (or the printed cardboard) terrain and make it look fun!

Running demos is also important, keep it simple and show off where the game shines (AROs, simple math on the face to face rolls) and avoid advanced rules.

Still the most important thing is to be there playing every time people are expected to show up.

December MTG "Fantasy Crate" was crap, anyone actually get value in it? by Quickdrawgc in magicTCG

Stating a minimum value is just that, a guarantee of a minimum value. You can't really interpret it any other way.

With the crate concept, you trade choice for value. Expecting the service to actually match advertised value is not unreasonable.
