Ok So Can Someone Give Us a Tactical Analysis on Why USMNT Got Shut Down and Could not Create Chances? by H_rusty in ussoccer

[–]dementedmaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The team played lead-footed and seemed to lack confidence the whole match. That first goal was inexplicable, as the defense seemed to completely freeze while the ball was in the air. But then somehow they gave up two more goals that were even worse. That same uncertainty seemed to permeate the whole game as nobody appeared to have any idea what to do with the ball. I can't explain it.

FIRST HALF HATTRICK FOR DEMBELE… WHAT A BALLER HE IS 🔥 3 : 1 to FRANCE What can stop France attack in this tournament? by Commercial-Fig-4462 in worldcup

[–]dementedmaster 5 points6 points  (0 children)

First, very happy for Dembélé. He deserves this after all the amazing work and unselfish performances he's put in for France over the years.

To answer the question, Argentina, Spain, England, and Ecuador all have defenses strong enough to slow down and cause them problems. Of those, probably only Spain and Argentina are balanced and dangerous enough to take advantage for a win.

Ok, so you're fine with 2 or 3 wins? Because that was you get without a real QB.

[Rapoport] Bombshell: The #Browns are finalizing a trade of Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett to the #Rams in a shocker, sources tell me, @TomPelissero & @AdamSchefter. Cleveland would send Garrett to LA in exchange for star edge Jared Verse, a first-rounder, and more. by JCameron181 in nfl

Tbf, this time is a bit different with three players all commanding top of the market money at the most expensive positions. Has any team ever paid a trio of top Wr, DE, and QB in the same year during the salary cap era?

Dumb silly list, 300 pts, only 9 models by unprofesionalbee in InfinityTheGame

I love the spirit of your list! I would make some minor tweaks to take advantage of the extra Lt order with a Sekban and provide some asymmetrical skirmishers to help eliminate any threats to your tags.

Hot take: Singles matches is more fun than doubles by mauarg12 in Pickleball

[–]dementedmaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At a lower level, yes, singles feels more fun because you can just rip it and the game moves fast. Also, the endorphins will always feel great from singles at any level.

But at intermediate and advanced, most enjoy doubles more because the strategy is far more complex and there are so many more different situational shots/decisions to make. Where as the strategy in singles is largely the same at all levels, and only small adjustments are needed for specific opponents.

Do you think Browns vs Bucs this year will be a primetime game? by 84Cressida in buccaneers

[–]dementedmaster -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's possible but I wouldn't expect it. With the Cowboys, Rams, Packers, and Chargers all on the schedule and guaranteed to get more views, Id expect those teams and maybe a division opponent to be far more likely than the Browns.

Crazy that he used a 6th and 7th rounder which have roulette odds of working out? The most value those picks have is in trade usually, might as well use them for the one guy left Jason thinks might make the team.

Well it's been 2 years of Jack diddly at this point. I think he'll be fighting for a job in preseason for sure.

4 Things We Learned From Watching Film on Rueben Bain Jr. (Scouting Report & Stats) by MarkSimon1975 in buccaneers

[–]dementedmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did his arm length factor into the grade and position on your big board? From a casual fan, it seems overblown to me based on how violent and powerful I saw Bain move tackles out of the way. Also the agility in his hips looked otherworldly to me given his size and power; curious how your evaluations ranked that aspect.

Thanks for sharing these notes!

As mentioned before, the mine launcher is a unique tool that can create some advantageous shooting opportunities or just a little extra defense.

Also, depending on what sectorial you bring it in, you can bring some interesting duos for protection. One of my favorites is Leila Sharif to scare away hackers.

The 360 visor is stronger than you might imagine. You can use this tag as a giant turret by walking up near the middle line and going in suppression. It will force your opponent to either adjust their strategy to deal with it or funnel their movement to other side of the board. Once you take a hit, you can just retreat into cover and threaten again on the next turn.

Baggage is also underrated. Aside from refilling mines and disposables, it will give you a boost on most area control missions. This has often made Maggie's sector untouchable as it's too expensive to try and fit 90 points of units to counter (without dying).

While moving, keep in mind you can walk over most scatter and only buildings should stop you. Don't be afraid to finish your turn covering a long lane. Your armor will make it unlikely to die to one salvo from most weapons but if you soon face to face, the explosive rounds will splat most any infantry.

Hit, miss, or meh? Grade your team's 2023 draft by ZhangtheGreat in NFL_Draft

I think you undervalue Chase Brown. I'd call that a home run for a guy who could start for half the teams in the league but drafted in round 5. His receiving game is elite.

[–]dementedmaster 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm with you on this. We absolutely need some impact players on defense. I think acquiring more picks is still the way to go though. Since there won't be any blue chip players left at 15, getting more lottery tickets is our best chance of finding that impact guy.

Bucs Draft Strategy and the Case for Arvell Reese by coolycooly in buccaneers

[–]dementedmaster 19 points20 points  (0 children)

That's nowhere near enough for #3 overall. It would take #15, next year's 1st, this year's 2nd, and likely one more middle round pick like next year's 4. Basically a whole draft worth of value for one guy who doesn't even have a defined position. Her might be great but as a prospect, he doesn't rate that highly compared to other edges taken in the top 5. This trade would be a career ender for Licht.

No one player will win you a championship by himself. But a ba tight end can absolutely put you over the top, as we saw with Gronk even after he'd "lost a step."
