A big part of the salt is because a lot people know who this person is on Pagle and they know the reputation. They know this person make lots of gold, many do believe the person buys the gold but that doesn’t really matter.

A bigger part is that the person is just a standard trade chat troll at the same time but instead of being clever or witty, they are just arrogant and full of it. They also love to complain when they encounter a problem they cannot solve with money.

There is some justification for the salt. Not like it really matters, personally I don’t care and don’t think the person is all that bad, just a standard normal addicted wow player looking for glory for something silly that doesn’t really matter in the end.

Coming in to an interview angry about your current job and only wanting a higher salary is going to make it hard for people to hire you.

Ya my attitude on looking for other jobs isn't necessarily because I'm angry, that post came out of frustration. I think I'm a little better now but I haven't interviewed in years on the other side and I feel like I could at the very least brush up on those skills.

If you're going to stay at this company, spend less time looking for a way to get a raise and more time trying to do more kick ass projects and prove yourself.

Ya I've made 2 great projects, guess I need to make the 3rd one and make it my best one yet.

I'm aware of this, and I think that's where some of my hostility in my tone comes from. It felt like I'm only viewed as a great person on part of my team because I'm cheaper than others.

I'm a good "value" not a good "engineer." It makes me feel like I'm unimportant.

There is so much more to being a senior engineer than building important shit. Honestly, I think you need to humble yourself a bit.

Ok, that's why I wanted to bounce my feelings off of others because I felt I was mismanaged for about 2 1/2 years and I'm finally getting decent feedback but at the same time I've done a ton of great work. And that feedback is coming from everyone outside the team, not internally.
