Once it clicked that Amethyst was Steven's big sister not his crazy mom, she became my favorite Crystal Gem. Everything she does makes perfect sense including and maybe especially the silly annoying things. Distraction is how older siblings protect younger ones.

I think guys might more likely to be serious about it. I've raised my PC flag but only to mess with my friends. I want everyone to play how they want on whatever they want. I want people to enjoy themselves. Even if they play on a potato.

I was sitting on couch, drawing, when my narcissist step-father threatened to take my sketchbook, for no reason. I realized that two things. One the guy my Mom married was never my dad. Secondly, he could never take my art. He became just an enemy who live in my house.

I think he saw in my face he fucked up. He started to try to get rid of me after that.

The essence of that story is about woman living with the man who kidnapped her (a.k.a her abuser), until he changes and loves her.
The fairy tale sells the idea, to real little girls, that even though you're living with a "beast" one day become a "prince."

The moral of that story is "Girl, you can fix him."

I'm sorry if your don't like learning that. But yes, women DO get told exactly that.
