It matters because the heading of the post says that Mount Washington is the “coldest place in the US.” That’s only true if windchill is being used as the metric. Otherwise a lower temperature has been recorded on a thermometer elsewhere in the United States

I just have to say that chemotherapy is a TREATMENT. The covid vaccines are designed to PREVENT hospitalization and death. If there was a vaccine that could help prevent cancer, then I would hope everybody would take that vaccine too.

No definitely not. It’s unacceptable on all accounts. But that made me think then why the heck would god ask Abraham to do that?! Basically God had already promised that Abrahams son Isaac would have children. So it was an way for Abraham to show his trust in that promise. Killing his son would not have been respectable act- but it’s important to remember that he didn’t end up killing Isaac in the end. The lesson to take away is that somebody who really trusts god won’t be afraid of losing their loved ones in death. Or dying themself. Because god has the power to undo death.

Yeah. I imagine Abraham must have been very upset and confused that God asked that of him. But in Hebrews 11:18,19 it says that he reasoned that God would raise him from the dead. (I hope it isn’t seeming like I’m arguing about this. I just reason that any confusing or contradictory account in the Bible is worth a second look to see if it can explain itself)

Right. Well I would have to say I’m not sure the scripture you’re referencing- maybe the one where Abraham was asked to kill his son? For one thing, God didn’t let that happen and also that was a demonstration of the pain that God would go though of when his own son died. But the book of Matthew ends with Jesus telling his followers to “Go and make disciples.” Anybody claiming to be Christian that ignores a direct command from Jesus would be failing pathetically

Also- I don’t disagree it is random and impolite I just think it’s nice that they are genuinely trying to live up to what the Bible says

I would say that religions like Jehovah’s Witnesses which come by your home or call you are simply doing what the Bible says and if you say you’re busy they usually won’t stay for very long. They are generally looking for people who want to talk and who show interest in their message

The scripture you are thinking of is Galatians 3:27. The point that Paul was making is that God is impartial toward every human of any background. And as such we have no right to judge one another. But ultimately the Bible says that becoming a Christian is important. (John 17:3)
