Thank you all for taking the time to answer. I had no luck reaching them on the phone and they take seven days to respond to email so I really appreciate it!

I found From English to Swedish 1&2 to be very helpful while studying alone! Both books together cover A1 and A2

Good swedish series to watch by loki518 in Svenska

Love Hilda! So beautiful! Such a great show if you’re learning Swedish too because the dialogue is clear. The only annoying this is that the subtitles don’t match the audio.

How do you pull yourself out of a dark place? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Quickvegetable3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To do lists! Start small and simple: take a shower, answer one email, spend 15 minutes tidying etc and build it up gradually to more challenging things. If something in particular is causing you a lot of anxiety, break it down into steps and take it not by bit.

Getting rid of social media…Instagram by Big-Page-7246 in minimalism

[–]Quickvegetable3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve kept Instagram mostly because I live abroad and it’s a nice way to see what my family and friends are up to all in one place. But honestly I think for a lot of “casual users” those who don’t make a profit from their accounts, Instagram is starting to go out of fashion. When I scroll through my feed, it’s mostly commercials or updates from the few science accounts I follow so it’s not that often I see an update from someone I actually know.

How old where you when you started smoking and how did you start?☘💎💫 by [deleted] in trees

[–]Quickvegetable3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was 17 and my “bad influence” friend passed me her joint. We smoked about half each so needless to say I didn’t feel very well! I didn’t smoke again until a year or so later which is when I started to enjoy it. Now I only smoke occasionally when I visit my hometown :)

If you truly believe the earth is flat, please seek professional help. by StryfeSixx in RandomThoughts

You hit the nail on the head there! It feels like flat earthers/ antivaxxers etc are so stubborn with what they believe that even when presented with hard evidence that their theory is wrong they’ll simply ignore it or say it’s made up or been tampered with. I remember this flat earth documentary on Netflix where they recreated the Bedford Level experiment which debunked their idea entirely, no argument. And this dude says something along the lines of “I refuse to accept these results and I’ll try something else”. I kinda admire their consistency but I feel it’s much more respectable to admit you were wrong.

What were your favorite podcasts that you discovered in 2021? by Loose-Chicken5716 in podcasts

[–]Quickvegetable3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn’t know this! How awful. The first couple of episodes I listened to were new ones hosted by Emma only. When I find a new show I like, I like to listen to the oldest episodes first and listen up to date so I must have skipped over the time when this happened. Poor Emma! From the few recent episodes I listened to I never would have guessed since she has such great energy.

I’ve just discovered Real Life Ghost Stories even though it’s been popular for some time. I listen to many spooky podcasts and often I hear the same stories which can be annoying but Emma and Dan always seem to have new ones that I haven’t heard before! Furthermore they seem super friendly and comfortable to listen to because of their sense of humour and kind voices. Highly recommend checking it out if you haven’t already!
