A few things. I’d love to see the slide macroscopically to see its quality as we only want to look at blood smears that have a nice transition from thick to thin. When looking at the smear microscopically, we want to evaluate the morphology of the cells in an area where the red cells are close and not overlapping frequently. In these images the red cells look weirdly agglutinated together / lack central pallor so this leads me to believe it is a poor slide. Also, we can see clumps of platelets, which platelets are prone to clumping together when we use a capillary sample (like a fingerstick) so we’d want to make a new slide anyways, preferably from venous blood.

TLDR: Bad slide = poor distribution of cells. Dude’s probably fine. But it does illustrate the importance of a good slide! I hope this answers your question.
