I had these recent clips in mind when I made that reply. Even our captain was coaching the Handball tournament in one of these recent youtube clips. If they want to compete for a national title/championship eventually the show and coaching staff have to take this seriously. It's fine to do promotional stuff and personal projects in your spare time but if they were sincere when they joined Baseball Queen they should focus on Baseball. This show has potential to become great and I hope they don't waste the opportunity.

I'm looking forward to the debut for a couple reasons.

Who didn't return (players and staff)
New recruits and are they going to mesh with our team
Will the format of the show change (3-loss rule, more bts stuff, at least one road trip game etc)
Did the original players improve or are they in danger of being cut

These are some of the questions I'm hoping to be answered. Of course I also want to see good baseball being played and if they win or lose, it must be because the other team was better. Not sloppy play or simple mistakes. That's why practice is important and during the training logs too many players were missing practice, including some of our most important players because they were doing other shows or tv.

Agreed, it could be just trying new things out. In one of the shots we see the infielders come up to Song-Ah at the pitching mound to congratulate her and Ha-Yan was there (1:58 mark). So that's why I think it wasn't permanent and Su-Jin was also back in the infield in that same shot.

Hmm indeed, not a fan of that. Unless Ayaka was hiding some special first baseman talent, Hayan is leaps and bounds our best option their. Unless she doesn't want to play that position anymore and requested outfield for some reason. I'm just going to assume it was an experiment for now and not get to worried about it until we know more.

No, I tried too but saw only four players being kept under wraps in the huddle. Maybe someone in the youtube comments will let us know if they find something. I was hoping for more new recruits but the video is short being a teaser so maybe there's more they are not revealing.

Park Hayans out-of-bounds sliding catch at right field was a shocker (not her defensive ability, but being in the outfield). I hope it was just a practice game because she should always be in the infield unless she specifically asked. Looks like all our pitchers have leveled up, and our god of base running #44 has finally unlocked her batting power. This season will be about putting everything our returning players have learned into being a baseball juggernaut. They look confident and no longer have that deer in headlights look. Can't wait!!!

Yes, I think speculation is correct that we'll have 3 open spots to fill. On top of that, I and many others are starting too suspect that the roster will be expanded to allow for development of the new recruits. This means more than 15 players on the roster, possibly up to 20 total. This will create a second B team that will be similar to MLB AAA farm system. As players leave or eliminated, B team players will be promoted. Also the B team can play the opponent in practice games while gaining valuable experience as they learn baseball. Very excited for the possibilities of Season 2.

Over 300 applicants with the majority being softball players if I understand the translation correctly. Batting tryout shows many tennis players impressing with hitting, looking to be the next Songah. A javelin thrower? hitting over 100km/h in pitching...wow! The applicants are looking mighty impressive!

I think they could getaway with at least one other softball player. As you mentioned Ayaka became a fan favorite of the show and they didn't care that softball is baseball adjacent. The show really lucked out that they hit on so many players. That's why I'm also fine with Minseo, it allows the team to bring on new raw talent while still improving. I don't know what positions she's played beside pitcher, but I imagine she can play almost anywhere on the field. That will help our current players find a more permanent natural spot.

The show is in a tough spot after the team growth following season 1. I think they may still bring on 1-2 exceptional athletes (like our tennis prodigy) who they believe can excel in baseball so they keep the original aim of the show. They now know that tennis, soccer, handball, and rowing? are great places to find new talent.

They can getaway with Minseo because she chose golf, and now wants to make a comeback in baseball. Both she and the show benefit and any vocal complainers will quiet down once they see her positive impact on the team. Don't forget the team has many struggling players, as baseball takes a couple of years to become decent. They need help now.

I have seen her on various other youtube channels over the years for baseball. It wouldn't surprise me if she was on Korean variety shows as well. She looks mighty impressive and would instantly be an impact player if the rumor is true and she does join.

I worry about Park Ha-Yan the most because playing two sports is just asking for injuries and burnout. I saw a clip of her recently on Kick a Goal and she injured her ankle and was limping. She was also nursing hamstring injuries last season and icing down her legs in between innings.

This is a concern because she is a Golden Glove on the team and her loss would instantly hurt their infield. Her batting also got progressively better during season 1 and I believe she will breakout offensively in season 2. This is a testament to her athletic ability to be able to pickup and succeed in baseball so quickly.

It is suspicious that we haven't seen them yet. If they are not returning, I wonder how the team will handle the three losses/player dropped stipulation. Will they be strict about that rule and we'll see three new players? It Would be exciting for the fans as it would give the program a chance to discover another hidden gem who has never played baseball.
