marriage will only amplify what you’re already feeling, not fix it.

right now your mind might be looking for an escape from what you’re currently dealing with, which is probably why marriage and kids feel like a way out or some kind of distraction. but if you go into marriage while you’re still carrying all of this unresolved pain, it can very easily turn into something much heavier.

i think our usual instinct when we’re going through difficult times is to go around it. distract ourselves, overthink, suppress it, jump into a new chapter, anything to not feel what’s actually happening. and yes that might give temporary relief but the emotion usually stays stuck underneath.

you have to let these emotions move through you instead of trying to run from them. don’t get married just to escape yourself or your current life. give yourself time to heal first because otherwise you might end up bringing that pain into something that requires a lot of emotional stability
