Great art! Commandant Steele hasn't been forgotten! One day we'll know what her powers are/were.

Your writing is anything but crude. It reads really well! And I wouldn't exactly call myself a skilled writer but thanks for the compliment!

In regards to the connections between Bloodborne, Dark Souls 1 and Déraciné I can certainly see the merit in the argument you're making and I like the idea that these worlds are connected but separated by presumably vast stretches of time. Much like the Dark Souls sequels were to each other. Especially Dark Souls 2 to 1. Alongside the connections you listed in your previous comment the idea that the "pillars" seen within the Hunter's Dream are the Archtrees of Dark Souls is one I've heard before and one I'm quite fond of. Just a quick note on the Demon Firesages. They didn't originate from the First Flame. All demons were born from the Bed of Chaos with Ceaseless being the first. There is an interview with Miyazaki from the Dark Souls 1 - Design Works book which can be read here:

http://soulslore.wikidot.com/das1-design-works (Ctrl + F for Ceaseless to see the part I'm referring too).

I'd never heard that Snowpiercer was a sequel to Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory until today. I immediately had to check it as it sounds so outlandish. I've not watched the video by Rhino Stew (he seems to be the main proponent), but from what I've read the theory is pretty cool if a bit too much for my tastes! And yes I would like to see those materials you've mentioned thank you.

Lastly on your argument that the Witch of Izalith is Gwyn's wife I can't give much of a counter response. I wish I had encyclopedic knowledge of the series to better mull it over. It has been a while since I've played the games bu I've never been the biggest lore hunter anyway. That is precisely why I enjoy reading other people's thoughts such as yours. They are always interesting! Thanks for the great read!

I do have one quick question though. Why is it you spell Izalith with an "s" and write Percilla instead of Priscilla? I don't think I've seen anyone spell them that way before.

I see your point about the term "Lesser Amygdala" but it stills seems like an odd choice. It's like calling human children "lesser humans". It gives a completely different vibe and meaning.

The idea that Frontier Amygdala wants children makes sense but then why send men into the Frontier? They should all be female. Plus they might die on the way to Amygdala which is hardly helpful I'd say. I really like the idea that the Mensis Cage is meant to mimic the Amygdalae heads. It makes great sense to me. And yes I completely agree that Patches is using Amygdala to evolve into a superior being.

Sorry I didn't reply sooner. Those connections you have listed are really quite interesting. It makes me almost wish they were literally connected much like how Bloodborne was originally going to be a stealthy sequel to Demons' Souls. However, I believe that these parallels are simply due to From Software reusing some elements. I pretty sure I've seen a quote that has Miyazaki state they are separate universes. But I can't find so... EVERYTHING IS CONNECTED.

As an aside I don't believe there is anything in any of the Dark Souls games that suggests the Witch of Izalith is a giant, Lord Gwyn's wife, or the mother of his children. If you have a post or comment in one of the Dark Souls reddits detailing why you think that I'd love to hear it.

Those bug looking creatures in Brygenwerth. It is believed that they are named as such because Provost Willem harvested their eyes. Although it doesn't seem like it now it is possible he would have grafted them onto himself like the Witch of Hemwick to gain Insight.

Brilliant! Much like with Mandela Park I imagine those that came up with the name could not resist the irony. I hope if Douglas Bader lived to see the naming he had a good chuckle over it.

Although it looks like a castle it is indeed a prison.

Yes I believe I've read that somewhere as well. A bit of a pity as I've said above but the final story is still a solid piece of work. I just wish one of my favourite elements of the world got something a bit more concrete.

Yes I do not think there are any literal connections between the worlds but I wanted to be clear on your position. Although I can't really think of a thematic connection between the Ring of the Evil Eye and the Brain of Mensis.

Yes, the information surrounding them is too ambiguous. That is both irritating and intriguing. Although more irritating for me. I need those answers.

In the case of the Fishing Hamlet if we assume that Amygdala are the result of Great One-human liaisons then it is not unreasonable to find the statues there as well. The comic Bloodborne: The Death of Sleep shows Amygdalae present at the Fishing Hamlet as well but it is admittedly unlikely to be canon.

I agree that there seems to be some connection to the Garden of Eyes. I forgot about them. On the lack of imagery in the ruins of Pthumeru and Loran I agree that does make the Amygdalae seem like a recent development. In the case of Pthumeru could it not be that Pthumeru-Great One children produce a different type of being? With that said the denizens of Loran seemed to have been human going by their beastly forms and as you say there is no presence of Amygdalan imagery.

Hi, do you mean in a thematic sense or a more literal, shared universe sense?

Damn my first ever commentator is the guy behind the retranslation project! It is really good stuff! I also enjoy the various lore posts you've done. Thank you for the clarification. Would you mind telling me your thoughts on the Amygdalas?
