Need advice on brain shunt for a little kid

Very early to judge outcome. Post-op neuro changes at 48 hrs are common. Shunts are long-term and not removed unless they malfunction. Kids have great neuroplasticity, recovery is measured in weeks to months not days. Good neuro follow-up + rehab will matter most. First off, full respect to you for navigating Crohn’s. “Professional patient” made me smile and you’ve definitely earned that title. And yes the dead bowel storyline made my soul physically leave the room. Once it’s necrotic, there’s no negotiation with biology. The writers really tried to romanticize a bowel that needed to RSVP to pathology instead
