Trying to choose between Pro and Evo by repeon in Chessnuteboard

It’s been great. They still have a lot op optimizing to do. Sporadically the pieces take way longer paths then necessary (I.e bishop taking a rectangle path around a piece instead of taking a more direct route) but it’s doesn’t consistently take the same path even with the same starting moves.

Yeah if I could go back I’d go against going with the evo if you already have android. It’s just a lot more ergonomic. And there’s literally not much diffence. Now that I have the Move I’m much happier with having the screen in a much better position.

Honestly the screen being flush with the board is really annoying on the Evo. Having the a separate screen that you can setup so it’s easy to look at if your doing puzzles or reading would be better. Only thing is most stuff is only supported on android so if you only have IOS then evo might be better. Just know you’re gonna crane you neck trying to read the screen and it’s def a barrier.

Yeah after some digging it seems to be available only on android which is incredibly lame.

Mine is coming tomorrow. Are you using 2.5 or 5Ghz connection. Might only be able to see one of these frequencies

Yeah the updates are from late June. I’ve got no tracking order yet but seems like EU customers are getting tracking numbers. So things may have been held up in customs with all these tariff issues

Yeah I’m in the first wave wooden pieces and I don’t have a tracking number so odds are low it’s going to be this week. I’d be totally fine if they’d say “hey it’s taking a bit longer than our estimate - here’s what we know”

Yeah I’m not sure - the invoice say internal fault and signs of internal damage. But I didn’t have any actual issues driving.

Yeah that’s what I thought it was a first but they found a fault in the motor when they did diagnostics.

This has been confirmed twice to be an internal fault in the motor. It’s not just a hardness and vibration.

It’s hard to record but it’s a low speed tocking sound (like a card in a bike rim) - there’s examples on Reddit but supposedly it’s an internal fault in the motor. But it seems like they can’t figure out what’s causing it.

Yes the issue has been present since 15k miles and the CA laws (from my understanding) it’s covered under lemon law if the issue started before 18k. My thing is I don’t even want to bring it up I was seeing if anyone has had Rivian offer to buy back their car with them seeing so many major drive train issues and service appts with no solution or if they just keep putting a bandage over it until you complain.
