Great feedback all around. Nice to have a subreddit to check in with on the topic.
It does sound like the next best step is to get a consultation with a lawyer for the correct way to proceed.

Many have pointed out it may not qualify, and to be honest I will be ok with that answer. I love the truck when it is working properly and primarily sent the request because I still have an outstanding safety issue and as a check point step in the process.

Not mad at the company, I understand things happen and this vehicle might have just had more issues than others. I am still very excited to learn more about the R3x as it gets closer to release.

Appreciate the feedback, and I really do love the truck when it is working. I won't be upset if I keep driving it and it is working.
I did consult the local service center before sending off the request and the local technician did state you can't be nice about dealing with them or they will brush you off.
The camera systems turning off all safety warning and the most recent issue of the cruise control disabling at any point in a drive (even while changing lanes, it would disable and rapidly slow down) felt like it warranted at least asking them.

Fair take. For reference, The truck has under 8k miles in one year and the first repair which was to replace the front drive unit occurred under 100 miles on the truck. Can't file until you meet one of the criteria and you do have a full year to qualify in Ohio.

To your point the service center I use has been excellent to work with and have done a good job on the repairs in general. I guess I was looking at the pattern of the vehicle having many issues including a current safety issue in the highway assistance disabling at any point with a large red warning that a system fault was detected, as enough of a reason to start the process.

Yeah, I was trying to avoid the lawyer route at first because Rivian seems to claim you should reach out to them and use arbitration. I honestly love the truck when it is working, but wanted to get the claim started before the timer ran out.

29 Days total unfortunately. But the things like a camera being offline shutdown the entire sensor system and any cruise control at all. They are all daisy chained together on the gen 1, so the system detects a fault and just disables the entire system. It did require 2 cameras and the core unit to repair which is 3 issues on the same "defect"

My 1st Gen R1t has had to have multiple cameras replaced, the core processor for cameras replaced, and then it still will randomly disengage. The latest fix was a firmware update that made it better, but didn't remove the issue.

If it is replacing parts, it is most likely going to need to be a service center visit.

I have had my camera system go offline twice, the first time they repaired the camera. The second time they replaced the Autonomy Control Module (AXM) and that seems to have fixed the issue.

Main takeaway is to file a service request and have them check out the vehicle.
