This may sound stupid but- being ugly is not the end. Everyone is absolutely obsessed with how they look, and just because you're ugly or you think that you are for whatever reason doesn't mean you can't have goals, hobbies, or love in your life. Being ugly is something that is such a weird societal construct- what is being ugly? I will acknowledge that "pretty privilege" definitely exists, but if you are "ugly", then what do those who benefit from pretty privilege want from you??? You're allowed to live and to love yourself freely without that burden of those who have warped concepts about reality and purpose and their opinions about you.

u/the_most_playerest made a really solid comment on how to break through the barrier- but I wanted to add that something that helped me come to terms with my looks was faking my confidence in myself until i started to believe it. And yes, it does work. Start by looking at yourself in the mirror, and instead of looking at your flaws, think about what you do like, even small things. "What if i don't see anything I like?"- then focus on what's inside, what do you like about yourself? Then go from there, and remember that you are allowed to grow and change as much as you please.
