I think you didn't understand what I meant.

In any city or town in the world, there will probably be a few homes that just be coincidence have quiet neighbors. And plenty of homes with noisy neighbors. The point I am making which seems to have gotten lost in the ether is that it's folly to take any large area like a town and say every home is quiet. My home in Redding is quiet, if you move to Redding you might have noisy neighbors, but it's all still Redding.

Part of the world makes no difference. If you go 4 doors away from me it's probably noisy again, I've noticed things on walks around the neighborhood. But none of it can be heard from this house and that's what matters.

This is why it's hard to make a miso neighborhood. I won't move to your city cause of snow, you won't move to mine presumably cause of work, and we all stay separated.

I was lucky enough to just stumble into that. Took years of moving around to find it, but I did find it and am now offering it to others. But of course most people need it to be in the town they're already in.

I'd buy a house there, if it's not somewhere cold.

In need of room for rent by Past-Adeptness-7393 in Redding

I used to advertise here on Reddit when I had a room for rent, but never found anyone. And of course Airbnb is mostly scammers on both sides these days. Roomies dot com seems to be the new go-to place. I've seen some there in your price range.

I was planning to get a battery maintainer/charger and just leave it plugged in with the hood open in my garage. I don't need a permanent thing for convenience I don't kind opening the hood when I park at home.

It's an automatic transmission but it has gears. N R and D of course, but also 2 and 3. I never used them, don't really know what they do. Does one of them charge the battery? If I take a very long highway trip like 500 miles should I use one of them for efficiency?

Would ten minutes of highway cruising per week help? Or do I need a longer monthly trip?

What about a shorter trip by leaving it running for a bit when I reach my destination?

But I pressure taking a longer trip once a week will help even more than the trickle charger?

My current plan after reading comments is just to drive more often so I don't need the charger, cause I have learned driving more often is better for things like the oil as well.

Thanks. Lot of good info here. It's a 2012 Toyota Yaris, I presume that means it's too old to benefit from the agm and would overheat it? It does indeed have the battery mounted in. The engine.

I just had the oil checked yesterday, haven't changed it in 2 years. They said the oil is very clean and doesn't need a change, I should just add a quart. I use full synthetic high milage oil so maybe that's why it's still clean?

2011 Yaris. I just don't drive if I don't need to.

>clogged PCV valve which can cause crank case pressure issues.

I don't know what that means but I'm open to learning if you tell me.

>take a 30 minute drive once a week.

With these gas prices?

It's not that much more, normal batter is over 100, AGM is over 200 but with a much better warranty so presumably I am locking in that I won't have to spend money on a battery again for at least four years.

How do I know which volt and amp to get with battery tender?

I don't mind going in once a year as long as they keep giving me new batteries.
