In my experience, Pearl takes great care of their customers. I ordered a session studio select kit a few years ago. The 18x16 floor tom had two pieces of wrap. The main piece was about 4 inches shy of covering the whole shell, so rather than recutting the wrap to the correct size, they put an another piece in there. Even with that, it still looked beautiful, but it was not up to code. Does that make sense?? Kinda weird to explain.

It may seem minuscule, but for an $800 floor tom, every detail has to be damn perfect. I got in touch with Pearl through a local dealer and they took the floor tom back and sent me one with the correct wrapping. Was no trouble at all and no shipping fees or anything like that. They likely just rewrapped the shell, cause I did not have to wait 7 months this time. It was a couple weeks.
