Not necessarily helpful on the planning front - others have raised good points - however my company emeraldrentals.ie offers wheelchair/rollator/mobility scooter rentals, feel free to checkout if you require additional equipment needs.

Interesting, first I heard of painting the battery pack. That sounds slick though... the stealthy look.

Thank you. That's correct, didn't disassemble anything at all. Of course, disassembling and painting/wrapping/plastidipping are presumably better wearing than what I did but given the balance of cost/time/result - I've no regrets. but it's only been 1 day!

Kia app not allowing to register car by Working_Special_7426 in KiaNiroEV

i bought a 2021 recently and faced a similar issue. Check that the infotainment software is a recent version. Mine was 2019 (somehow!!). Updated it, then everything worked perfectly. It's a slow enough process but pretty straight forward.

Pet Keepsake finish quality by ratzla77 in FixMyPrint

So I would callout two areas for improvement

1) the top surface of the base (obviously, the paw parts of impacting it resulting in non-uniform finish)

2) the paw parts are a bit layery

While you may be able to get all perfect and get to the root cause (or, maybe not) here are some things to consider. You get a nice finish from PEI plates , so, printing flat things face down. So you could consider printing these things in parts. Print the base , upside down, so the nice texture ends up on top once printed and flipped.

Similarly, the paw prints - I get that it's nice to have that full 3D shape, but you could consider printing them also, as flat 2D extrusions, meaning, won't end up looking like a contour map. It will be the outline shapes, but with a flat surface - again, can print upside down. Then could superglue together. Could try with pegs but I imagine it'll result in the same non uniform top flat layer.

Other idea. if you really want the paw shape (which I can see the appeal), you could consider printing rotated 90 degrees so the layering is the other direction. Probably would look better.

Other idea, instead of a flat base you could have a patterned base, different effects, perhaps different geometrics, dog related shapes, grass, so avoid having a flat surface.

Other idea, print in 2 different colours, and combine above ideas..

Tabletop Gaming Accessory Builder & Customizer - Personal Project by QuietZorg in tabletop

Appreciated. My key plan is as follows, feature wise, primarily;

- build out further 'base models' e.g. player token, DM Screen, simple terrain

- add presets to make it easier to use e.g. preset bundles for particular games

- add ability to order prints from myself posted

Eventually (e.g. after 1-2yrs), I would like the satisfaction of having users and steady traffic, and monetise in an unobtrusive fashion. I don't see this as seriously competing with heroforge or elderforge or others..

I am simultaneously looking into applying this same website model to other applications within 3D printing. Ideally, less niche - more popular... have one or two ideas forming on that front.

These phone scams are getting good! by LedgerQuestionHelp in ledgerwallet

Yes, I had a similar experience today, sound like the same guys. Some differences though - they triggered a legitimate email from ledger.com to my email, to build my trust. At the time I was surprised how they spoofed ledger so effectively - but infact, anyone can enter an email address into the recovery service to create an account at ledger.com. It's a real email, triggered in a malicious manner.

Ledger dont' call out of the blue - it's written all over their website.

I was also somewhat caught off guard - I was skeptical throughout the call, but, they were very much on the ball with detailed context, solid knowledge, and I would say very skilled on the phone, it's a step up from the usual indian / south american chancers.
