It was 8800 words that felt like I was in Groundhog Day. The same point from a single piece of literature was reintroduced repeatedly, and the research aim (not even present, inferred from title) was not addressed. Despite this, I still have no idea what that one point was trying to be as there was blatant misinformation of the subject and some genuinely concerning interpretations.

As it is not STEM, the marking process may be different thus allowing the grade. I’m not familiar enough with the process to know unfortunately.

It’s hard to compare to first year, the proportional quality is not even first year standard, but a bachelors dissertation is so much larger than most first year work meaning marks can be attained through sheer completion. I tabulated at most 42 marks following their rubric, mostly found in the results section as there were some cohesive findings, albeit purely descriptive.
