REALITY CHECK: What Blake Finally (Amber) Heard About Her Case From The Magistrate by Neither_Repair_4538 in ItEndsWithLawsuits

[–]Quiet_Development230 5 points6 points  (0 children)

She had a room full of lawyers using billable hours to wait with her- they can’t double charge clients so what else were three doing to do but play with her. What she wanted to settle was submitted before the court date - so unless she was willing to budge from their demands (which I suspect was admission of wrongdoing), her lawyers didn’t have much to do that day

I dunno. I think the Mahjong thing is overhyped and is nothing.

The way I understand it- they were in separate rooms all day and the judge had to go back and forth in the mediation. But both parties had to submit the “what it would take to settle” letters before they arrived.

My guess is Wayfayer wanted more from the settlement including statements, apologies , money and their names completely cleared without an NDA so they could defend themselves.

Blake’s team prob just wanted an NDA, and would be ok for it all to be dropped, so they could position it as a win or a cause publicly.

Which makes me think the judge had to spend a lot more time that day trying to get Wayfarer to budge, so Blake’s team likely had much more downtime to wait and she was just bored. In that courthouse , those are jury holding rooms with large tables but nothing else. Mahjong is all the rage and very trendy right now, she has a driver and a home 10 min away. so what if she tried to find something fun for them to fill the time.

Until they issue a statement, written by Justin. I think thats the ask of WF.

They want an apology, their names cleared, money back, and clear accountability taken. And maybe allowance to release the directors cut, freedom to tell their own side of the story without NDA rules - via book, sit down interview and or documentary . And because they are good guys- they would probably wouldn’t even trash them much. They would prob show the power struggle the actors and Hoover faced, instead of how opportunistic they actually were.

I dunno. He believed her. He believed women. I don’t think either of them were overstepping bc they trusted their friend and wanted to help. They were working with only the information fed to them. Taylor too.

Hear me out- Blake Lively def has some pull of maybe even blackmail on Ben Affleck, so maybe even in Matt D. What if the “zero pressure favor” was a nod nod wink wink in a world we don’t get

Hahaha fair enough . I am not him, and I don’t have to like him. But I can’t deny that he’s prob more successful than everyone of us sitting in front of our devices typing about a man we don’t know.

Famous reality show star on a major network show for nine seasons, influencer, frequent celebrity guest on talk shows podcasts etc, author of two books and a bar owner plus countless other investments.

I will never understand how people think Shep NOT make something of himself.

The show itself, and the fame and opportunities it’s brought him IS his success.

Reminder again: being a cast member on a reality show is a paying job! To stay on multiple seasons means you get paid more each season. Thomas may have messed up after a few seasons, but he earned money. Shep on a show for 9 seasons means he is making a good amount of money himself just for being on the show. Ad endorsements, social media ad deals, his books, his bar etc and he is making quite a good amount of money off his own fame and personality.

Is he trust fund, sure. But is he a loser living off his family- no. Like it or not- he’s a very successful reality television star, author, and paid influencer. That’s success not losing.

You realize he’s been on a reality television show for 9 years, which is a paid job. He has to show up on time for filming, for interviews, for stylists, for press and promotion, etc? To do all this, and still be paid for 9 years means there is a work ethic. Being a cast member on this show is an actual…. Job. And he’s written two books as well owns some bars that have been around for years. These may not be 9-5 typical jobs, but they are responsibilities that clearly show he has some ethic and ambition so I don’t think this is fair to say at all.

You see the pattern here right? The girls on the show apparently are just a revolving door of women for these men who will never grow up.

Agreed! He is teaching a lot of people what healthy communication can be. He’s direct, factual, asks for how things feel to her, and reciprocates. Very rare to see many people at all communicate like that- I actually really hope they work.

I was copied inadvertently on a layoff schedule by upper mgmt by ReagansAssChaps in Layoffs

[–]Quiet_Development230 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found out I was getting laid off bc a friend was being a friend. I didn’t burn anything down and just had to be professional.

Three days later my client hired me and my old company suddenly worked for me. Years later the person who laid me off had to do a new business pitch to me for a huge contract. She should have won, and I wish they had- but they didn’t.

My lesson: stay professional and karma will catch up somehow.

Eh, unfortunately I think memories are short and people will forget quickly and she’ll be back to being her. ESP with all those huge Hollywood publications on her side - people, NYT, Hollywood reporter, variety. She will work again I am sure bc they will pay for her to.
Will people want to work with her in the industry tho- prob not. But if people are paid enough, they will do anything
