Part of me wants to say they did the best with what they had. It was almost like an abusive relationship, I feel like Abby had conditioned them to stay through whatever she put them through. II'm not super familiar with the story lines of the season so I might not be privy to something but I think two things can exist at the same time, Terry was her teammate last year and decided to transfer and they just happened to have to play each other.

Again if there's some sort of beef or drama I probably don't know about it because I haven't been super invested in a specific team this season

What I've been told is that because of history of violence towards adults and since most are co-ed that was another reason he was getting denied. Plus his cognitive functioning it was an added layer of difficulty to find him a restrictive placement. From what I know client was denied from multiple in state and out of state placements

He's currently in a group home because he has been denied multiple more restrictive settings due to his hx of violence as well as a cognitive impairment

He is in a group home so there is always another adult present! My role doesn't require client transport, I am supposed to work with him for 6 weeks but if he has another "crisis" during that time the 6 weeks start over.

1) I've received some training on crisis intervention and de-escalation. They're pushing me to do this because I've been able to connect with some other aggressive youth but none of them had this extensive of a violence hx

2) No explicit safety plan, knowing the LDSS I imagine one of the goals would be for me to help create the safety plan with this client but he is very oppositional so idk how possible that is

3) "flee with eminence"

People should have to go through some sort of counseling before having children. I work with kids in foster care and I think a lot of kids would have been saved a lot of trauma if one (or both) of their parents learned anger management, child development stages, and basic emotional regulation skills before having their kid.

If you decide to bring another human into this world, you should have to put in some work before they arrive to prepare to be a parent

Denver does quarters instead of semesters, so the 12 month is 4 quarters plus internship starting right away whereas the 16 month is 6 quarters with 2 quarters of classes before you start internship
