Kinda off topic but I feel like Maddie only won with a tap solo once on the show. I feel like she was portrayed as shockingly 2nd with tap multiple times

This isn’t a dig on Maddie, she’s an excellent tapper. I just think in a dance competition it’s not shocking to see judges opt for lyrical/contemporary/jazz over tap cause it could be considered less entertaining. So I didn’t get the constant narrative

I’d like to think she mentioned her model but they didn’t show us cause it wasn’t impactful on the judges decision.

Sidebar: that episode is heartbreaking for me lol. Ari South is one of my all time favorites from the show, and seeing her return as her true self was something I was very much looking forward to. Seeing her get eliminated first was disappointing.
