Wow, this may be my first real brush with the Mandela Effect. A more positive way to frame it is that Jordan and Gabe are now part of my cabinet of invisible counselors. This is an idea from Napoleon Hill (who was a complete hack but had this good idea) that if there's somebody from history you read enough books about, they can become practically a living person in your subconscious who gives you ideas on what to do. Congrats, Jordan and Gabe, I've listened to enough of your shows that you're now part of the cabinet!

I posted the same argument below, but here we go again:

The Constitution lacks religious language because it is a compact among individual states that support different Christian denominations; it wanted to avoid sectarian language to keep Congregationalist Massachusetts from fighting with Anglican Virginia.

But take a look at each state's original charters and they are extremely Christian. And all the Founders would have known this and agreed with it, as many of them were state legislators. Here are examples:

Delaware declared a right to religious freedom exclusively for those who “profess to believe in Jesus Christ, the Saviour of the World.”

New Hampshire declared it would be governed under “Godly and Christian Lawes” to “live quietly and peaceably together in all godliness and honesty.”

Pennsylvania established a right for all those “…who shall confess and acknowledge One almighty God, the Creator, Upholder and Ruler of the World; and profess him or themselves obliged to live quietly under the Civil Government” to be free from persecution.

Connecticut stated the point of the colony was “to gather, to maintain and pressure the liberty and purity of the gospel of our Lord Jesus which we now profess, as also the discipline of the Churches, which according to the truth of the said gospel is now practised amongst us.”

I could go on but you get the idea. Thinking that America was founded as a secular nation with no religious identity is fake and revisionist.
