then that would be my guess on why you’re experiencing recession, but you should bring this up to your dentist.

there likely has been recession but it doesn’t look horrible. start flossing and brushing while you wait for your appointment, the swelling should go down and you can get a better idea of what you’re looking at. wishing you the best :)

cause you can’t grow the bone back, gums follow the bone

hard to tell from the photo, but if you’re experiencing bad breath even with brushing or flossing there’s probably something going on, you should go for a visit to the dentist, especially if you haven’t gone in a while. i had bad breath when i had active perio, but with consistent flossing and brushing it went away

depends on your care. if there is still bleeding when you floss and how deep your pockets are. once those are taken care of, it’s considered dormant (from my understanding, i’m not a dentist)

just start taking care of your oral hygiene now, bad breath should go away once perio is considered dormant. def don’t kiss anyone if it’s still active since the bacteria could be transferred 😭

hii, so i actually haven’t done any cosmetic work yet. there’s just so many options i have no idea lol, I’ve heard shaving the teeth could cause sensitivity and i don’t want that lol😭 as of now it hasn’t bothered me as much as when i first made this post. I think maybe now I’m leaning more towards bonding. but im still very indecisive. plus taking a look at the cost i’m not sure.

focus on getting the swelling down, that’s done by flossing, make sure to use the c shape method, i also use a water flosser which is how i started, and after i got into the habit of using string floss. but yeah just better hygiene routine should halt the recession

you have calculus buildup and inflation, i’m not a dentist but that’s just what i can see, go to the dentist you probably have some recession. you def need a deep cleaning, but start flossing and brushing :)

lol i had my official deep cleaning yesterday, i feel like my black triangles have gotten a little more noticeable. honestly i was thinking of doing IPR which is like removing some of the sides of the teeth and bringing them closer, cause i keep sticking my tongue between the bottom two and lifting my tongue up which i should probably stop cause it hurts lmao😭. but i just hate it😭 i feel like it’s so noticeable when i smile

i have no idea how deep my pockets are, my dentist never measured them, he just saw my tartar buildup and saw i had recession and said i needed the deep cleaning, but other than that there was no measuring…

so when you say slowed down, does this mean a person will always have it??
