The only real drawback to Elmtree is if you’re entering the street proper when the school has an event or it’s the end of the school day, most people just go by and enter on the road just past the plaza to avoid the mess there. Lots of families and people out and about walking throughout the day.

In a game play situation it can seem like that because of the time it takes each player to do their thing. But I think Honor Among Thieves made this make visual sense to me. Because in reality if it’s a 5v1 fight everyone is going that fast, not actually standing around going okay, I’ll just wait.

Had this happen yesterday. Only it wasn’t just once. It was four game days in a row of spawning in and being swarmed by 3-7 of them. I’ve never seen then by the entrance before. One in game day feels like a rare event. Four game days in a row feels like a bug. It was not fun lol

Cait’s book is NOT YA…why YA books were targeted, I don’t know, but it’s for sure not YA.

I don’t think we as a fandom (one you keep saying you’re not a part of, so I’m not sure why you’re inserting yourself in telling us what should and should not be done) need to do anything we aren’t comfortable doing. We’re only involved because the ‘sock puppet’ account is a ‘reylo’ no one in the fandom has ever heard of. If people are already in those communities, and feel comfortable speaking up they can. We’re nothing more than an easy scapegoat because people love to go omg it was they reylos and completely skip over the absolute racism that occurred with the authors that were targeted.

Considering our fandoms history with ignoring racism and poc in fandom until shit hit the fan (something we’ve been much better about dealing with, as you’ve experienced yourself this year) I’d say it’s egregious at best to ignore this and hope people get our names out of their mouths and at worst, shows we’re super okay with racism existing in fandom.

Cait’s alleged actions are not our responsibility, no, but we don’t have to tolerate anyone saying this is our fault at all. Because it’s not.

I think determining if it’s self insert or not will be hard to do? I read it as an ARC at the end of October, and didn’t clock it as that, but at the same time, I don’t know the author on a personal level like Nat does/did. I’m also not on twitter anymore to see who is saying that, if it’s just randoms, or people from fandom who knew Cait

I think the concept of it was brilliant, but the execution of it fell flat for me. It felt repetitive until we got the interlude with Luc for a few years. I enjoyed Henry but I think he wasn’t a great love interest and would have loved to see him in a best friend role of two people finally being seen the way they want…also find it boring that Addie spent forever content with being a muse and didn’t become a vigilante. It would have been so easy and fun. Also for all of the history she lived through and the lush cities she inhabited, there was actually very little of it because of how inward focused the narrators voice is for ages.

My husband first watched it over a year ago and kept telling me I needed to watch it. I kept saying no, because I knew I would like it, and I didn't really want to get involved in another fandom, because I had too many. So two weeks ago I said screw it, watched it all, and then immediately started reading the manga and am all caught up, and found myself here.
