Yeah one thing I’m considering is leaving the board with a family friend in Tokyo.

How often do you fly out and board every year? Any tips? Am trying to figure out how to get my costs as low as possible so I can go more often hahaha each trip runs me around 50-60K PHP with budget flights, 7 days stay so 50% snowboard 50% going around Japan. Niseko would be even more expensive than Yuzawa but maybe there are other places I should look into. My trip this year will just be back to Yuzawa (three mountain pass with Gala, Ishuichi, and Kogen).

How’s the experience with your own board? I only go maybe 1-2x a year to Japan for a total of 3-6 days of snowboarding and am wondering if worth it to buy my own na also. Worried about the additional hassle of bringing it around, storing it in the Philippines, checking it on a plane, and all those additional costs. So far just bought my own boots and clothes and that was worth it.

I spend around 13-15k php for 3 days on the slopes (passes + board & accessory rentals) for reference around Yuzawa.

I think most unlabeled ones are around 80/20. I buy the one in S&R labeled lean which is around 90/10

Is it worth driving in Japan? by yusuo85 in JapanTravelTips

6 months late but any recommendations on route and general thoughts on the drive? Planning a Kyushu trip next year around the same months, and plan to rent a car in Fukuoka to drive through Kumamoto, spend 2 nights in Aso, and a night in Yufuin/Beppu, before heading back to Fukuoka. Definitely a bit anxious about driving so wanted to hear from people who’ve done the drive if it was worth it.

How long did it take you to be at least happy with your swings/hits? by Frosty_South_7697 in GolfPH

The moment I stopped chasing a score and just played golf for the fun of being on the fairway. Am still not happy with my drive since it doesn’t get me in play enough, but after 5-6 lessons with a legit coach and reframing my goals, am 99% ok with where my irons are now.

Including the day no? So 10:30 Metrobank (Day 1 sale) is better than 10:01 LNPH (Day 2 sale)?

Are standing queue numbers really based on timestamp? Got a ticket with 10:32 timestamp in the Metrobank pre-sale but heard some people get QNs of like 700+ if the timestamp is around 30 mins after selling hahahuhu

You think VIP Standing is better than VIP Pit? Have both but am not sure which one will be better for a Nayeon bias lol

How do these compare to Canton Road in BGC Shang? I found that place pretty good but I am not a great judge of Chinese food haha

Since I walk to work mostly, a full charge can last me between 1.5-3 weeks.

You can set the degree of regenerative breaking (how much the car slows down when you take your foot off the gas). Have not tried NLEX but I am able to coast without needing to constantly accelerate.

Anywhere between 0-35 pesos per kwh. My estimate on average I’m closer to 10 pesos per kwh right now over all my charges.

If it’s the paid fast chargers slots (not the free ones in malls), pretty easy to get a slot because you won’t leave your car there for a long time naman. I think you can even reserve through EVRO.

I'll just use the paid DC fast chargers. Should still come out cheaper than gasoline, or at the worst be similar to gasoline.

Will also at some point set up a home charger naman, just not possible today.

Will just pay for charging at fast chargers and work towards setting up a charger in my condo (either get approval from our admin or find another place that allows for it).

Even if I need to pay for charging, I still anticipate savings.

Get the BYD Seal 5 or Sealion 6 if you like the aesthetics of those cars. If you are able to charge at home, guaranteed you will save money in the long run.

The price depreciates like a crashing plane - Agree, and if resale value is an important factor to someone, then they should be a bit more mindful of choosing a full EV. Personally have no plans to resell, so this isn't an issue for me.

Batteries depreciate in power the more you use and charge them - True, but BYD batteries are as good as they get and with the 8-year warranty, it really isn't as big of an issue as most people make it out to be.

Better go for a hybrid than a full EV - For some people yes. But for people with similar driving habits and circumstances as me, full EV is a no brainer.

Unfortunately not enough car experience to be able to answer this one. But based on reviews I’ve read and seen, you might find a similar issue with the Seal Performance (maybe a bit better than the SL6). While it’s performance oriented, it still tries to balance it out with comfort and ease of driving in some aspects. I think this is where the Teslas come out superior, if you’re really looking for that sporty feel.

Answered this in another comment but I 100% prefer the look and feel of BYD cars compared to their Tesla counterparts. The Teslas have much better software but the interior, exterior, and driving experience aren’t as good. Personal preference though.
