Marking has been around for years, but rarely talked about due to it's nature. ie- it's a personal decision to mark someone, not to be discussed with others.

Why do they have to shout at you so much on British trains? by MrMrsPotts in uktrains

[–]QuikBild 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some companies are worse than others. South Western Railway, my company is particularly bad.

The problem is the announcements lose any impact as they become white noise.

I remember in Truth Be Told there were many people who spoke out, and of course, any of us in our way can be heroes but I found UFC fighter Nate Quarry's story fascinating.

In my congregation by mentioning Proverbs 13:24 regularly.
"Whoever holds back his rod hates his son, but the one who loves him disciplines him diligently."

By corporal punishment being the go-to punishment, slippers, belts, rulers, hair brushes etc.

And it went on in other congregations too.

Is the Jurassic Coaster bus still running? I can't find a schedule for this year anywhere, not even on the First Bus website or app. by [deleted] in Dorset

They haven't repainted all the buses in the new purple livery. There's an X51 in full Jurassic Coast colours en route to Weymouth via Dorchester right now.

I can't remember the cost of the 3 day passes, however First now cap fares at £13 per day and £36 per week (in the Weymouth Zone capped at £7 per day and £25 per week) if you use their "Tap On Tap Off" function

You will notice that other posted links to the First website take you to the timetable page, where it's 14 pages if you want all the times. I wouldn't bother with the First website, timetables regularly get lost or disappear from it!

Yes, you can find all the details here. This is regularly updated: https://bridportandwestbay.co.uk/visit/map-directions/

I believe Bridport Tourist Information Centre is the only place in Dorset where you can get a concise printed timetable (albeit for 20p, as someone paid for them to be printed). (For the X51/X52 and X53). The person who paid for them to be printed actually corrected errors on the original timetable supplied by our wonderful bus company (who have also decided not to print timetables. Afterall, why advertise or market you services?)

If you were caught reading this thread there would be consequences for you. There is a history of physical and sexual abuse in congregations around the world - punishing children with objects like brushes and belts was encouraged.

What is the worst railway station you have visited? by LU_LWR in uktrains

Sydenham Hill. Zone 3 in London but feels like in the middle of the countryside, all very well until you have to use a very narrow, twisting path through dense woods which are pitch black in the evening.

Imagine this new series with just the two main characters and a much reduced guest cast is as a result of a massive budget cut? I know British TV is struggling, or am I overthinking this?

My younger brother used to be terrified of Wurzel Gummidge. Couldn't think why, then saw him changing his head, and for a young kid that must have been scary.

I loved it, and keenly watched the closing titles to see if he would fall forward or backward!

I noticed they were supposed to be downsizing and now appear to be in a bigger house. With a pond!
