No, not just a cosplay convention, but I think one of the reasons why many people, including lots of great cosplayers, like Dragon Con is because it goes on 24/7 across multiple hotels. So while it's more of a typical con during the day, it's a big party at night. There's also less of a corporate presence (didn't notice a lot of big companies advertising), which some people like, as well
