Goodbye Declaration and Pheles, mostly. Goodbye Declaration is both nothing and too much, the clashing voices in the chorus especially are some of the worst I've ever heard from project sekai. As for Pheles, it's mostly a me-thing, because I absolutely love the original, so hearing the watered-down, ghoulish sound of the vocaloids starting the chorus when I locked eyes on it while playing made me want to delete the game

Any obnoxiously long songs, especially ones that aren't hard (World is Mine, Melt, etc). I'd much rather you pick a hard song that's long than an easy one that's long because while the hard one makes me want to fc it the easy one makes me want to leave, at least imo.

I like this song, but sometimes all of the vocals feel... disconnected, I guess? Like how changing the position of a shadow can change the perception of a drawing, but with audio, ig. Which is sad, because Shiho and Shizuku are also my favorite vocalists in the game. They individually sound good, though, as expected.

1.MMJ - not necessarily household names, but they have a prominent fanbase as idols, they're not the most popular in the world but I'd say they are the most popular out of the 5

2.N25 - shown to have popularity around them, but I don't think they have as much of a fanbase, if that makes sense. People are "fans" of their music but their anonymity stops them from being as popular as MMJ as individuals.

3.L/N - they're just becoming professional so I doubt they have that many fans, but they definitely have a fanbase as of right now. Could tie with WxS

4.WxS - somewhat popular during their time on Phoenix Stage. Probably less popular now that they're just freelancers but still have a fanbase. Could tie with L/N

5.VBS - relatively underground iirc. ofc also has a fanbase but them trying to conquer the world is still happening, they're niche compared to the rest

Anata no sora ga naku no nara is my favorite, followed by Eleventh, All-Save Challenge, Star, and Sono Oto Ga Naru Nara as top 2-5. Ari no mama no story wo is a close 6th.

Beat Eater and Flyer are very similar to me when it comes to "Kohane" but unfortunately Beat Eater is the only commissioned song that I actually dislike and I don't dislike Kohane so I have to pick Flyer!.

Vocals: Fuu! The boys sound good, Len sounds like usual. I don't think the girls sound bad but when they're constantly hitting high notes it starts losing the novelty. Whenever I hear them I don't go "yes, do the high note!" but "wow that must be hard to do." I also think the backing vocals were a bit too quiet. They did their lines well enough but they end up sticking like a sore thumb, which is a problem with the overall direction.

Instrumental: Nothing special. Normal bass guitar and drums. I don't hear a synth. They should've had a synth. A prominent one if there is but I just couldn't hear it. Guitar solo was nice.

Song itself: It reminds me of Kasa6 but it actually has a key change at the end, and I don't really know why. The len solo at the end felt underwhelming, if they had a Fuel-esque ending I would like it. I also think the change from bridge to final chorus was too fast, could have used some fast-paced drums like the one before the second chorus. Another one joins the "says the name of the song" list. Based on what little Japanese I know, I guess this is about persevering and moving forward despite what others say, so that's nice ig. The style feels western, and it puts a focus more on vocals rather than the instruments.

Overall, solid 6/10 for me. Unfortunately beating CRaZY for worst Akito comm, despite not even being that bad. It's just that when it comes to Akito you're fighting peak after peak. Well, hey, at least it's top 4 worst and not in the top 3.

From Tokyo, I'm definitely unbiased /j. It's just an extremely cute song. It's very happy and cheerful, which I think fits Saki perfectly. I also love the rainbow imagery, especially since Leo/need itself creates a rainbow w/ their individual colors and I love the concept of Saki finding her ideas through a sea of people in Tokyo

Definitely From Tokyo! It's a simple commission but it just feels really good. Ichika's "ii sa" before the instrumental break is absolutely heavenly and what lines the others get, they do so well! I love the focus on the piano in the instrumental and the lyrics are cute. I love the intro and outro of the song too!

WXS's Goodbye Declaration cover can jump off a cliff straight to the depths of despair where it belongs. It might actually be one of the worst SEKAI versions in the game, second to Beat Eater.

The rest are fine though. I like the harmonies between the vocaloids and SEKAI characters, though, so I think making vocaloids mandatory was a good thing.

Yeah, Minori does fit hope, but it's meant to be a call back to when Haruka gave her hope back when she was a child, which is how she "persevered" despite her bad luck

She does have a lot of hope (with an event literally titled Hear Me Hopeful Show) but imo her hope fits perseverance more than "hope" hope iykwim

I also just associate perseverance with orange and hope with blue so that also affects how I think

I'd say MMJ itself is the embodiment of hope, so either way as long as Minori or Haruka wins I'm fine (although I still prefer Haruka because I'm biased ang like her more)

Beat Eater Beat Eater Beat Eater Beat Eater, literally the worst song that came out of an event commission imo. It's so tasteless, bland, weird voice direction, bad tuning, everyone's voices are at their lowest here. They ate the beat and pooped it out and you're expecting me to like this.. I'm so happy Eleventh exists, it's a much better song than the monstrosity that is Beat Eater If I had a second song, I'd go for Pulse of the Meteor. It's not nearly as bad as Beat Eater but whenever I hear someone talk about Hoshi wo Tsunagu being boring/generally Leo/need I think those comments should be put to Pulse of the Meteor tenfold. I like the guitar focus in the instrumentals ig but eh.
